Slightly off on accuracy.
My shipment arrived in a timely manor. The thermometer has a nice little chirp that tells you when your temperature is ready to read. The accuracy is a bit off but if you write down your temperature on the unit at the time when you are feeling well and normal. Then when you take your temperature with this unit you can compare it to what the unit gave you when you were feeling well.At this price I have no complains other than that point. But if your normal temperature is 98.6 and this unit says it is 98 then you should only have to add .6 degrees to any future readings.Be aware that this is only going to hold true if the units tolerance is at least accurate.

Battery died after one use. Get some LR41 button batteries along with it.
Oral temperature reads about 1 degree low, which seems to be typical for digital thermometers. However, after exactly one use it stopped working and would only display a tiny letter "D". I had to squint at the manual to see that is the low battery symbol. Now I need to buy LR41 batteries because that is the one size I don't seem to have in my house.

Good basic thermometer
I've used the thermometer a couple times over the last few months and it seems to give me reasonable results. I'm not sure how accurate it is to tenths of a degree since I don't have anything to compare it to but when I'm healthy it reads very close to 98.6F and when I had a fever it read above 99F.Only 4 out of 5 stars since it does take a very long time to read. To get a good read, you need to wait until it beeps which seems to be at least a minute.

Not sure if this is the one for me
This thermometer is okay, but I am not sure it is calibrated correctly. It is sturdy and the numbers are easy to read. I have no problem hearing the beep, but I have very good hearing, whereas my husband, who has trouble hearing certain frequencies, cannot hear it. I plan to talk to my pharmacist to get a recommendation on which brand of digital thermometer he might recommend and will update this post after I compare various similar products.

Passable
This thermometer worked right out of the box The battery was functional, although I am not sure how long it will last, being the first battery and having been "on the shelf" for a while. It is slightly smaller than thermometers of the same kind. The waiting time is about 75 seconds, which is about typical for these thermometers. The actual temperature reading is about 1-2 degrees off, but that is OK for a home thermometer. Al told, this is a good utility thermometer-

Pretty Okay
Works like a standard drug-store thermometer.(Anywhere I say degree I mean degrees Fahrenheit) Maybe reads a degree low, but that could be because I have a hard time with placement of this type of thermometer in general. ORAL placement.Underarm readings are consistently 1-deg lower than oral. Have not/will not try rectal.Overall seems like a good thermometer. Doesn't hold a candle to the old mercury ones, but it'll do.

Works well - long read time - but accurate
This is an easy to use and easy to read digital thermometer. It comes with a nice clear plastic storage sleeve and a couple of thermometer covers.I was surprised at how long it seems to take for the thermometer to get a temperature reading, but it is accurate. Those with inpatient kids (or adults!) may be better off with a temporal thermometer, but for the add-on price you can't beat it!
