How does this ship when buying from Amazon.com? Does the packaging protect the guitar well so that the guitar does not receive damage?

In 2023, mine came in a thin cardboard box, and the guitar was covered in thin plastic foam. The box itself wasn't taped shut, so anyone could've just easily lifted the lid and taken the guitar. It was miraculous that it didn't fall out and break during shipment from TX to FL via UPS. I know it's a cheap beginner's guitar, but the packaging is inexcusable. Looks like this has been going on for many years, too.

Don't knock an acoustic guitar just because it may be smaller on size. I have a decent little Hohner that is 36" tip to tip, and the body is about 17.5". I have got to really like how handy it is. I'm about 5'9".

does it come with a case?

What brand of strings would you recommend for this guitar? The ones that came with it are beginning to get rusty

From Jasmine Guitars' website, the strings on the S35 are "Phopher Bronze Light Gauge .012-.053" though I think phosphor is a typo. I picked up Earnie Ball 2148 Light Earthwood Phosphor Bronze (11-52), based on a reviewer recommending those over D'Addario. Nice that you got some mileage out of your strings; I lost 2 right out of the box!
