Great machine and easy to use.
I have been wanting to make homemade ice cream for a while but was unsure which machine to choose. I found this one while scrolling and saw that it had a good design for an affordable price. After using it for the first time, I am so happy that I found it because it works fantastically and makes great ice cream. The machine was very easy to set up and took about 25 minutes to make ice cream. For the best results must make sure the inner bowel is completely frozen before use. I put my bowel in the freezer the previous day, and it came out perfect. Once the machine is done you will have a soft serve type ice cream that you can eat right away or place it in the freezer to harden. I tried making ice cream without a machine in the past, and it just turned into an icey mess. This machine makes ice cream as good as you would find in the stores, and you can make it however you would like. I used this to make sea salt ice cream from Kingdom Hearts and it came out great. It was also very easy to clean the machine afterwards since you can remove the motor from the top piece. Overall I am extremely happy with this machine and I can’t wait to make new flavors with it.

Easier than you can imagine. Homemade soft serve within thirty minute, every night.
I like the fact that the instructions were clear and the clean up was easy. It works great and appreciate the recipes included.

the jumping ice cream maker
The ice cream taste good, but the recipe calls for 25 to 30 minutes, I tried 25 minutes the first time, the paddle froze to the side and bottom. The 2nd time the same thing. When this happens, the unit jumps all over, so you have to stay right with it so you can turn it off. Not sure I like it.

UPDATE - on replacement issue
UPDATE: 13 July, 2019 I wanted to comment on the customer service and replacement from this company (YANX). Due to old age and weakness I dropped the lid (which contains the motor). The plastic portion of the lid broke in several places. I contacted Amazon to see if I could purchase just the lid/motor. They referred my issue to the company. **SIT DOWN FOR THIS** The company responded within 24 hours stating they would send me a replacement in a few days. I thought yeah right!! Less than 1 week later a package arrived with an ENTIRE machine (not just a lid). To say I was impressed/surprised would be an understatement. This is a wonderful example of customer support, and I am one very satisfied customer. They will always have my business.PROS:Actually works really well, (was very leery of all the 5 star ratings). Is fast - 20 minutes is about normal.Cost is within reason. Is small enough that I can handle it without any trouble-it is not heavy, and I am elderly.Makes small enough total amounts that you can eat it all at one sitting without feeling like a pig.Instructions are simple, very few steps to making ice cream.Easy to clean.Easy to store.CONS:The only thing I can complain about (not really a complaint) is you need to freeze the inner bowl for several hours before each use. That requires prior planning... and we all know how good we are at that!! I have found if I put it in the freezer as soon as I clean it, that eliminates the issue of a long wait time.

Hell hath no fury like a cheap ice cream maker
So this thing breaks after one good use. It’s so disappointing and VERY messy. The paddle is unable to wind inside the frozen pot so it starts to splutter. The spluttering becomes a mess of liquid ice cream mixture that leaks out all over your kitchen in a fury .. of which you are now cleaning your kitchen ceiling and drinking liquid ice cream and grumbling about the waste. Also you end up really wanting ice cream.

OMG the Reviews are CORRECT!
I have been making ice cream the last few years, but more intensely the last 6 months. I have done the ice & salt machine & the freezer base machine (big unit Cuisinart), then I decided to get something smaller with a freezer base. I saw this unit was very reasonable & had key features that are important. The reviews were great too.Soooo Ive been using the Ben & Jerrys ice cream book for my recipes for the last few weeks (beware: raw eggs), so I made it with the salt & ice machine & today I made it with this machine. WOW! I refrigerated the mix for 4 hours and made Ben's chocolate ice cream recipe and it was done in the machine in less than 20 minutes! The ice cream did come to the top under mount of motor, so I stopped it at that point. It came out soooo creamy and beautiful! I used the Tivoli(sp?) container I bought on Amazon and it made exactly a quart. Im freezing it a few hours for a harder consistency.I wound up getting this machine for $1 with Amazon Credit card rewards and a $10 reward for doing surveys so that was an added bonus.I also buy milk that is not UHT or ultra high heat. The cream had UHT but not the milk. Just pasteurized is good. The secret to success of any machine is making the mix very cold before you put it in the machine & freezing the freezing unit for ice cream maker for 24 hours. Of course the quality of the ingredients help too. Whole milk, cream and as much organic you can get. Ive used no sugar ice cream recipes from a book on Amazon using dates & that is great too. If you dont have time to freeze for 4 hours (the mixture), create an ice bath with ice & water & cool mixture for 30 minutes, then put in machine. Best of luck, and have a ice cream day!

Remarkable Concept
Easy and convenient method for making homemade ice cream! Easy directions to follow. Recommend observing the machine about halfway through the churning process - when the ice cream mixture begins to thicken the churning action binds, the machine needs to be turned off. Whatever recipe that was used will determine when the churning process is complete. Failing to turn off the machine when it begins to bind may lead to damage to the ice cream maker equipment. Cleanup is a whiz. I am 80 and have made homemade ice cream every method imaginable over my lifetime - this is the best yet!
