How is this any different to the fdbro training mask? they look very similar, is it just a case of patrick cashing in on this?

Its not my style. I first began designing the SportsMask in 2016.

Does this still work if the wearer has a full beard?

I had a 2-3cm beard whilst wearing and it worked fine since the material is flexible. Anyhow, this is an air restriction mask with 3 settings and an absolute seal isn’t perhaps the most important aspect. If some air (I’d bet it won’t be much even with a full beard) managed to go through, you have the max setting which restricts the airflow quite heavily, so you can compensate in that way. The max setting during exercise is very tough to endure for more than 5min so unless you’re an absolute Buteyko pro, you should be totally fine.

I currently do mma what excrises could i inncorpate this with?

You can do bag work or pad work with the mask, it will add an extra load to the exercise and increase your tolerance to co2 especially when used with the oxygen advantage method.

Does this force you to breath though your nose more?

SportsMask will allow nasal breathing while wearing the mask. The mask is designed to pool carbon dioxide in order to improve tolerance of the gas. This in turn helps to reduce breathlessness during rest and physical exercise. The mask also adds an extra load to the breathing muscles, to help strengthen them.
