EarthWay 1600 FERT-A-PLY Side Dress Fertilizer Applicator for 10001 Garden Seeder

I’m not reviewing the item because it arrived late and damaged in a crushed box from UPS. The seller, Harris Seeds contacted me several times in efforts to make it right. What a caring and honest Company. The spreader does not mount strudy, and fertilizer flow control is not controlled by wheel movement, so if you stop it will pour fertilizer out until empty.

Does not fit well, stay in place, operate smoothly or continue to function without constant finesse. You might as well just garb a scoop and carry the fertilizer bag around and pour it out by hand. It will be much less hassle and results will be no worse.

I recieved this item and installed per instructions. The only tgis I do not like is that this assembly is not really mechanically secured. Two points are resting on the rear axel instead of bolting onto the axel. The other two point are plastic tabs that could break in the future as plastic gets brittle over time. Would have been 5 if unit bolted on for a better mechanical fit.

Very easy to break and doesn’t close the fertilizer dispenser when you need too.

Did not assemble or work as expected. Very loose and doesn’t work well.

This product did not work as it should had to remove it and drop fertilizer by hand very disappointed. PS by the way the Earthway planter is a good product but not the fertilizer dispenser.

Does not work as I thought it would. Puts fertilizer by the seed and is left uncovered. Really disappointed in this product
