I bought this because I was taking part in a day long photography course and need something brighter than the built in flash. On it's most powerful setting this is very bright, it will illuminate a big area, probably not the sort of flash for a portrait but great for larger objects. I'm still working out some of the settings but overall I'm impressed for the price.

I bought this as a supplementary flashlight, and for the great price it is good. I didn't realise it at the time, but it comes with a flash trigger so it can be used off camera, which is a real plus, and I also bought it as its compatible with my second camera, Fuji. Build quality is fine, the flash head is a little stiff, but to be expected. The angle of flash is only 35mm, but with the built in diffuser and if you add a softbox or similar then you'll get wider coverage. On my Nikon it shows good colour. One other drawback is the recycling times, even on 1/2 or 1/4 power is slow, yet on an own brand flash that would be instantaneous. However for the sub £40 price mark, it is a steal.

Wouldn't work with my Canon 80DMy Canon shoe has a centre contact + 4 others. The flash shoe only had a centre contact. Feedback from other photographers welcomed.

Comes with a nice fabric bag and a wireless transmitter. Requires four AA batteries, which are not included. It has a large LCD display which makes it easy to solar light outdoor motion sensor. The flash works in all modes on my camera and does a good job. I can clearly see the difference between an external and a built-in flash. Note this is a manual flash, not TTL, which is hardly a “con” for me or even professional photographer as it gives you more control over flash output.

This is a great camera flash and works fabulously! It attaches to the camera hotshoe and is very easy to use. It comes with a reflector and diffuser.
