ZosiSmart Storage for cameras
Works great, night vision is not all that great but still a great purchase and it serves the purpose for which it was purchased.

Zosi DVR 8-Ch works as advertised & customer services is exceptional.
Very happy to purchase the Zosi DVR to replace the discontinue unsupported the Qsee DVR. The setup is quick, straight forward and automatically defaults. Zosi DVR also works with existing Qsee cameras. Now I can remote the cameras with ZosiSmart app from my iPhone. Definitely love it and recommend this Zosi DVR. Also, customer services is exceptional.

Had to Contact Tech Support
The Zosi DVR/Camera system works pretty well. I did have to contact their customer service/tech support pretty soon after installing their hardware. I tried to review some recorded footage, but I found that the system wasn’t storing anything initially. All of the system settings were set up properly and there was plenty of space on the hard drive. Apparently the software needed to be updated/upgraded right out of the box; it required downloading a file onto a thumb drive then rebooting the system to update. The other issue I had is that the USB ports on the front and back of the DVR are the same USB port, and only one device can operate in those slots at a time. I had a mouse plugged into the back USB port and when I went to download footage, I plugged a thumb drive into the front USB port, but that deactivated the mouse. I gave this product a 4-star review based on the product itself. On the other hand, I had a 5-star customer experience with the Zosi tech support team. Coco, the rep that helped me troubleshoot, did a great job overall. Coco helped me step-by-step to identify the root cause of the problems, and the solutions. The DVR and cameras work great now, other than the duplicate USB thing.I would purchase this system again.

Bought DVR only, Good system, reasonable price
Bought just the DVR after reading reviews (had my own cameras). Initial set up was easy but then ran into some issues with the master password. Sent an email to tech support and response came within 12 hours with detailed instructions. For that concern and a few other questions I had about the system (user manual is a bit lean), worked with one support person, Slina, who was very helpful.User interface is easy to understand and allows for detailed programming of the DVR as well as the cameras (on/off time, names, etc). The default programming sets the machine up for 24 hour, continuous recording, so setup goes fast. Had my own cameras and as described there was no problem having them work with the DVR. Looking at the other reviews, the DVR restarts automatically after a power failure, and does not have an on/off switch. On restart it will immediately start recording without reprogramming; the outages were short, less than 10 minutes, so I am not sure if the programming would be lost with longer disruptions. You must do a system reset to remove all prior input. Two small issues - the manual is rather lean. The other small concern is that the mouse action is not very smooth and a bit hard to control so it takes some work.I have not used any other DVR so I cannot make a comparison, but the unit is working as described in the on-line reviews, and it is certainly worth the price.

3 failures Continuous looping Of initialization
I bought my first Aussie just under a year ago. It worked fine for a few months and slowly, but surely started having problems with screen freezing in the unit rebooting for no reason at all then it just quit the HDMI video output was dead and the alarm just sounded all the time, since I had it for longer than it was warranted for I bought a different one out of the box. It didn’t work . The initialization just started looping and looping and looping after 20 to 25 times it might call up the cameras, but after a few minutes, it would start looping again. It was pretty much useless. Customer service is very responsive and they sent me a new one and worked for three days, and it started looping. I was able to get it to work for a couple of days, but any kind of adjustment I tried to make would cause the screen to freeze and the only way you can get out of the screen is to restart the box which starts the loop all over again , also I was never able to get the email to work on two out of three of the units. I was able to connect my network and to set up my Wi-Fi but no matter what I tried and what I did just would not work so I was not able to get any kind of alerts From the unit . Long story short I contacted Zazie told him I had enough and I wanted my money back and I’m waiting for the return slip so I can mail it back. Maybe you had good luck. I don’t know but three in a row that’s a little bit much.

Very Quick Setup
I was skeptical due to the price range. Most reputable Video Security DVR's in this price range are total junk and the reputable brands with this DVR's capabilities are usually in the $800-$2,000 range. I'm using this DVR to replace a LOREX 16 channel DVR that lasted 8 years, but was a NIGHTMARE to setup and wasn't compatible with any other camera except LOREX cameras. The description says it works with all the old school high definition 1080pi cameras, but ZOSI customer support couldn't tell me if the LOREX cameras would work. I delayed purchasing this DVR for months due to this dilemma. I bit the bullet and purchased the ZOSI 3K Lite H.265+ knowing I might have to buy all new cameras. Because I thought it wouldn't work with my 14 Lorex cameras, I set it up in my living room using 2 spare Lorex cameras. I had this thing up and running and recording video in 15 minutes! SO! Anyone with a Lorex system they bought from COSTCO and HATES it, get this DVR and it is plug and play! For the price, I don't care if it dies in 12 months. I'll buy another one knowing I can get it up and running in 15 minutes.
