Vic FIrth - American Concept Freestyle Drumsticks 5B - Wood Tip

I’ve got a few pairs of sticks from different brands but have used Vic Firths before and like them. I bought a pair of the Dave Grohl signature stick by Zildjian and liked the extra length, then saw these and thought I’d give them a try. These for me are perfect, long with a longer than usual taper and 5a tip means they are perfect for my playing style. Genuinely great sticks, really great feel, balance and response. My new favourite sticks

Exactly what I wanted to start learning the drums, these are the go to size apparently and they feel fine to me on my electronic kit

Really fun stick to play- 7a but loads of extra length meaning your fulcrum can go further up the stick. More reach, great rebound and lots of freedom. Annoyingly the tip chipped within the first few uses. Not anyone’s fault I suppose. Had I hone to a drum shop and chosen myself, I would have checked the grain at the tip!

I’ve tried many different brands of drumsticks over the years and found it nearly impossible to keep them in my hands for any longer than a precious few seconds. Dropping sticks every few seconds is no longer an issue with these sticks due to the ergonomic grip and perfect balance. In the words of Jacob F Jones “Absolutely no complaints on my behalf, no complaints on my behalf whatsoever”

Finally a 17" 5B stick , perfectly balanced , feel great in the hands and bring out a beautiful sound from drums , cymbals and kit percussion . Definitely glad I tried these sticks and as I get older, 63 now , they make playing easier , I don't have to work so hard and are easier to grip .I've used them to play jazz, funk,reggae and rock and they allow me to handle them all. Thanks Vic Firth, after using your sticks for years I finally have the perfect model for me.

Right where do I start - these are perfect. I used these throughout the whole of 2020 and only went through two pairs - very long lasting and I played everyday! The weight and length of the stick are great.

My granddaughter loved them. Says Vic Firth is the best.
