Antique Spiral Brown Wooden Walking Stick with Silver Brass Designer Parrot Handle Walking Wooden Cane for Gift Men & Women

It has held up through my husbands illness and now my knee surgery. We get compliments every time we use it.

I went ahead and gave this walking stick 5 stars. But, I did notice 2 thing. A different buyer complained about no collar below the handle. I thought mine was missing this also. Turned out the collar is small and easily dropped or left in packing. Be careful and locate it. Other than that, the foot needs to be more substantial.

With the exception of the rubber on the bottom of the cane, it is very well made. I have purchased three of these canes with the anchor-shaped top and two that are rounded top with a compass rose. In total I bought three with a spiraled shafts which is adequately strong and 2 with a round shaft which is a little more hefty. From a purely functional standpoint the rounded top is better, yet I just like look of the anchor top. I gifted 2 to my oldest friend who I shared my youth on the sea. The bottom of the cane is but a thin piece of rubber that provides no traction and will disintegrate in a single day of use. Hence if you actually have need of support you will want to saw off the highly tapered tip and fit a slip-on rubber tip. Unless you are extremely tall you will likely find the length a bit long anyway.

This seems to be well made and very attractive. I made the mistake of placing in the back window of my truck on a trip of several hours. It warped badly.

Two canes were sent by my mistake of double ordering. My Dad just had a hip replacement and said he could use one for the car and one for the house so I let him have them both. It was an emotional moment when I gave them to him as the anchor brings back fond memories. I did try to cancel the double order and am not sure if it went through since two were sent. Please make sure you were paid for two canes. Thank you so much.

Perfect size, looks. I feel secure when walking. Nice craftsmanship with style. Handle is comfortable with a nice grip.

This cane is beautiful and well made, the handle sits a bit crooked but it’s hardly noticeable at all. Bought as a gift and the recipient was thrilled.

The cane was sturdy and cheap. I bought this item primarily as a self defense weapon that could be legally carried on an airplane. It gave me a bit of security while traveling through a third world country known for violence. It came with a chip in the wood and the rubber tip fell apart after a week of use but it was still worth the money in peace of mind.

My husband loves his fancy walking stick. It looks very smart and expensive. He walks like a king now.

Terrible, rushed, mass produced junk... The handle is on with such a small amount of thread that the cane has caused more injury than it has prevented... and the "foot" will last about an hour if you're lucky... Waste of money, and unsafe...
