Sharpest one yet
Amazingly sharp coming out of the package. It locks stronger into the sheath than some of the other ones that I got from this company. It's into the hand perfectly. It looks nice on the belt.

Unbelievable value and quality!
I was in the market for a quality blade that was either D2 or 420HC steel that I could use for an everyday carry (EDC). It also needed to meet several other criteria, the most important of which is that it be a “multi-role tactical” knife. Granted this is considered a camp/survival knife but it also will serve well as a tac knife. For those who are wondering if the serations at the top serve a purpose, YES. This is no ordinary knife… this knife can double over as a a spear tip for hunting. Just lash it via the holes in the tang and you now have a razor sharp spear tip. The serrated spine holds on to what you “poke”.I have gotten several compliments on this knife and everyone LOVES the utility of its design once I explain. For the price you CAN NOT beat this knife. It’s easy to EDC on my tac belt and it fits well enough to conceal if you need to. I’m 6”, 190Lbs and fairly fit so I can only speak for myself. If you have some extra weight I’m not sure how comfortable it will be.

The knife is great, the sheath not so much
The knife itself is very solid, holds a nice edge, and is the perfect length for EDC which I've done since I received it.The sheath holds the blade well, but the adjustment options aren't as great as I'd like them to be. There's no way to line up the locks so that the knife can hold at an angle at the small of the back where it's easy to reach back and pull, that doesn't also poke you in the back when you sit in the truck. The locks needed would be the left bottom and right middle, but the only way to line those two up is to put it at the very tip of the sheath, which causes the weight of the knife to flip the belt over. So the knife flaps around as you walk instead of hugging to your body. I locked it to middle row right and left and used my belt loop to help secure it and it works, just not as ideal as I'd like it to be.

Outstanding knife
I generally don't leave a lot of reviews on Amazon - something either needs to significantly disappoint me or seriously impress me to take the effort. Thankfully this is the latter.Excellent weight, well balanced, extremely sharp - at an excellent price. Positive retention in the sheath so not sure if others commenting need adjustment or if they came out of the mold poorly.Purchased this to mount on the console of my boat, will be buying a second for my tactical belt.

This knife keeps on giving
The knife is sharp out of the box. The finish is a little blotchy but acceptable for the price point. It appears to be a compound grind. The lower blade is a hollow grind, the upper part of blade is appears to be a thicker flat grind and the middle has a saber sweep to it. It's an awsome looking knife. I'm not sure how they can do this different grinds because it is expensive to change the grinding wheels. I'll review again after I test the knife. Quick update!! The sabre sweep is not aligned with the tip. It is off by 1/8 inch. This makes the blade tip more prone to break. I cut three 2 inch tree branches that were oak. I'm making walking staffs. This knife made short work of it. The blade is still crazy sharp. There is no damage to the blade. This is a very good buy. UPDATE: I’ve had this knife over 4 years. It holds an edge well, easy to sharpen, chop’s small saplings, debarks trees great and digs holes when needed. This knife is a beast and by far the best fixed full tang knife I’ve ever purchased. The price point is amazing. I don’t head to the back country with out it. Update: it’s now 3/2023 and this knife keeps on giving. I strip bark and branches every day with this knife. I keep it stropped and sharp. It performs like new. I would like a sales territory in the Midwest to sell this knife. I could make a killing. I’ve now purchased 4 Oerla Brand Knives. They are superior!!
