Worked great on a 75hp mercury force

I bought two of these for my Mercury 2.4L race engine. This cheap chinese garbage didn't last but maybe 4 cranks. Then both of them appears to have had the bridge, inside the relay that is supposed to release when the start key is released form crank position, fused in the constant contact mode. Of course the relay was constantly feeding power to the starter in that condition and little did I know the start was in permanent crank mode and once I got on the water and spun the rpm to 6-7K rpm, the starter was fried too. I had to order another starter as well. I replaced the first relay with the spare I bought and it did the same thing. I bought an OEM Mercury relay and it has worked for 3 months, and still is. Incidentally, side by side in my hand....the OEM relay seems to be significanytly heavier in construction.

This solenoid fit my motor correctly but the plasticky was brittle and ended up breaking when I tightened the nut onto one of the studs.

Got part quickly and got boat fixed and on the water!
