Body Armor 4x4 Bars
I had tried 2 other sets of rails prior to ordering these and had serious fitment issues on my 14 JKU with both. I was worried that my Jeep was somehow misaligned and was hesitant to order a 3rd set. However, the Body Armor side bars installed fairly easy. One benefit I noticed is that the brackets that attach to the underside of the body and pinch seam are separate from the rails themselves. This allows you more wiggle room and adjustment if your vehicle (or the product) is a little off. Having said that, it still took about an hour and a half to install and I had to position 4 of the 6 brackets at their extreme ends. I also noticed that the brackets, much like the other rails I tried, are angled 90 degrees where the pinch seam itself is not, therefore, you will do a bit of bending as you ratchet everything tight once all of the screws are in. The bars themselves are well made, very heavy and look like they can take a beating. They are wider than Rubi rails and look more like 2x4's with tapered ends. a bent tubular bar is welded to this rail and sticks our just about as far as the stock fenders. I was thinking the rail looked to wide at first, but actually this width makes the bars a much better step. Although I don't use them as a step myself (they only hang down about 5 inches from the door ledge), Shorter passengers will and from testing I can assure you that they can easily hold up two grown men. I think the bars make the Wrangler look more aggressive and am happy with the purchase. It is always a trade-off getting rails that look tough versus functional steps, but these are happily in the middle. As far as improvements, I was upset to find 4 of the bolts and washers missing in the packaging I received, and the powder coating on the bars seems a little coarse (compared to others like Rugged Ridge and N-Fab). But for the price, I think these are a good deal and would recommend them to others.

They'll work
I bought these on Amazon for a discounted price of around $299They are very heavy so I suppose that's good. But, opening the box, I realized that both skids have already been dented. It looks like they were dented before shipping as the shipping box was clean. So, okay... Whatever. I decided to keep them instead of having to re-pack them and ship back. It's a jeep anyway... I don't really like the looks of these but they were the best price for a combo skid/side step. With small kids & short wife, they do both rather well.As a matter of fact, having just returned from running a Jeep Jamboree this last weekend, these skids have paid for themselves. They took three really good whacks which, had I not had them, would have cost thousands of dollars in body damage on my JKu. So, they did the job for which they were intended to. They are not the top quality USA name brand skids but for a compromise they'll do. Lastly, if you're going to get these, buy wider washers and bolts for the pinch seams. The little dinky bolts and washers will cut right through the soft factory metal creating rust zones. Make sure you dab paint or primer in these small spots too. The only real bad thing to these skids is how they are attached to the Jeep; just 6 small bolts to the body (pinch seams) and three smaller 1/2 bolts to the underside U-nuts on the chasis. Seems a bit underwhelming personally but, this is how the stock oem Rubicon skids go on too so apparently it works for Mopar/Jeep.Have fun out there & tread lightly.

Body Armor JK-4121 Rails
These a solid rails that will help my wife and kids get in and out of the jeep. It lowers the entry by about 5 inches. I would have preferred that they were not mounted to the pinch seams, but I knew that was the design. After installing I jumped up and down on them, and they did not budge. I installed them myself with basic tools in about 2 1/2 hours. I was looking at the Smittybuilt rails, but read and heard about fit issues with install. I also looked at N-fab rails, but the steps hang down too low. These Body Armor rails really look great, and give the jeep a more aggressive stance. The Body Armor bumpers and tire carrier are next on the list. Agree with other poster to purchase larger bolts and washers for pinch seams. The small ones supplied do cut right into the metal.

Body Armor rocks. These look great, work as steps and hold up to the abuse of sliding the weight of the Jeep over rocks. Just touch up with spray paint afterwards.

Replaced factory steps
Had these installed after I tore off the factory steps while rock crawling. Haven't had a chance to try them out but they look great. I hope they provide enough edge protection.
