Unsure at this point in time if it's worh the 90 or so dollars
I was anxious to get this out of the box and listening to it. I opened the briefcase type box and pulled it out, looking at the single printed paper that had instructions on how to install the battery. That in itself is quite the ordeal. The little white connector is hard to hold and push into the receptacle It looks like it should only go one way, but it will go either way, as I found out. I took my Leatherman Squirt and put it in place. First time was wrong as it didn't turn on or even show that it was charging I turned it around and replaced it. The manual says you can wait a couple of minutes before turning it on. It also says that it will show the charging icon while charging but that only applied while turned on as far as I could tell. The two knobs on each end do all the work for on off volumes and station finding.. The black screen is a touch one. The symbols are on the small side for letting you know if it's charging, on Bluetooth and so on. The digital tuning is readable, but was hoping it was a different color other than black numbers. You'll find out once you acquire one. Radio volume is good, as that is all that I can test with it for now. It has a volume slider that shows on the middle bottom of the screen. I'm not sure it was worth the time and effort of putting that feature on it, because it's a little hard to see. Pushing the left knob in, turns it on and off. Pushing the right knob, gives the fm, DAB, alarm and setting the time functions. There is a USB connector located under the rubber battery cover. Of that I don't understand. I for one could see one like the digital cameras have with the flap covering the input. There is only two places for wired input. One is the ac adapter to charge, and the other is for ear buds or head phones. Of which that take the small 3.5 jacks. You can adjust the bass and treble, by touching what looks like signal bars and then rotating the right knob. I see no function for sleep timer. I have always liked that function in a portable radio. Of the touch screen, I wonder if you can place one of those screen keepers on it like for the smart phones. I have rated it as it's okay for now, and hopefully down the road I can do a much better analysis of it.

Not what I expected from Geneva
First of all let me say that this is one great looking Radio, but there are a few problems.1. This is NOT a stereo radio it only has one speaker although the single speaker does sound very good. The cabinet could easily support two speakers and would increase the desireability of this radio a lot.2. The radio has No presets and does NOT come with a remote control.3. The volume control is slow to react because it has to switch from the main screen to the volume screen before it reacts.4. You can't dim or turn off the bright screen , I have to put a cloth over it at night so I can sleep.5 It has a proprietary battery ! I can't find a replacement for it on eBay,Amazon,or even the Geneva website, this could be a disaster if your battery goes bad!If Geneva Sound can fix these few faults they would have a real winner. Thanks for reading my review, I hope it helps.

It's pretty, but too big for a paperweight
Apparently this thing depends entirely on its wall charger. The battery is tiny and needs 5.5 volts input by a tiny pin conector. Lose the charger and you are SOL. It's pretty, but too big for a paperweight. Sleek design, no way to store the charger with the radio - the charger will get lost. Who doesn't have dozens of wall chargers that fit nothing? I have googled and cannot find the charger offered anywhere. It is not offered on the Geneva site. Is this worth going to Radio Shack to cobble together some way to charge it? Not in my life.
