Whiteside Router Bits 1410 Round Nose Bit with 5/16-Inch Radius, 5/8-Inch Cutting Diameter and 1-1/4-Inch Cutting Length

This bit, like all of the Whiteside bits I've purchased in the past is a top performer. I purchased the bit to put a juice groove in an edge grain cutting board and I also used it cut grooves in the ends of end grain cutting boards so the boards can be handled easily. The first time I used the bit there was some minor burning in the wood but I realized that it was my fault. I wasn't moving the work piece fast enough across the bit. This bit cuts so quickly that i was able to speed up the pass across the bit and there was no burning, or tear out, whatsoever. The Whiteside bits are on the more expensive side but much cheaper than the cost of ruining a work piece by using an inferior bit. I highly recommend this and all Whiteside bits. And, no, I don't work for the company. Wish I did though.

I bought a cheaper bit but it left burn marks on the wood.This bit was much better. You get what you pay for.

A nice clean cut as expected. I used this bit to create a juice mote for cutting boards I make as gifts.

Extremely happy with this bit, it's holding a good edge and does a great job for what I need it for.

Fine cuttre for the size. Cuts clean.
