The AcuRite00795A2 Galileo Thermometer with Glass Globe Barometer is a beautifully crafted cylindrical thermometer and barometer set, inspired by Galileo's pioneering instruments. It features colorful liquid-filled spheres that rise and fall with atmospheric changes, providing a unique way to interpret temperature and weather. The barometer is elegantly etched with a world globe design and is mounted on a sturdy wood base, making it a perfect addition to any professional or home office.

Accurate and adorable
The media could not be loaded. Exactly what I wanted. Simple. Colorful. Cute. Accurate. Fairly easy to set up. When setting up you can not just fill it up in a super fast manner. It has a Doppler squeeze type fill up applicator so when filling up the blue liquid (which you can make your own color btw, or colorless if wanted I guess), but you need to have your own food coloring as it does not come with any. But anyways, you need to fill the water kinda slowly so it doesn't shoot up though the small tube on the right. But other than that it was way easier than I thought it was going to be.The only downfall is that the globe (blue part) on the right can get dirty/dusty inside depending on where you have it / how clean the area and air is in that location. For example, I put mines around my plants near the window and all the dirt and what not from the plants made it look kinda dusty looking when viewing from far away or on an angle. But in normal rooms, normal homes, this shouldn't happen. The temperature tube on the right is extremely accurate. Obviously it doesn't change much given that our indoor temp is always the same. So I put it outside to test it out and within 5mins it changed to the current outside temperature. The other part (sorry I can't remember the technical correct terms) but the blue globe part seems accurate for the most part but I'll have to look back in the instructions bc we are suppose to have a storm, and I thought that meant the blue dye was suppose to be higher up. But maybe it's just about the pressure in the air(??) And not storms(?) I'm not sure. I'm probably wrong per usual. But this is the perfect gift. Very cute. And it works! And u can customize the color. Just remember to already have the food coloring dye or purchase it as well đ

Fun Weather Learning
Quality product, good price. If you like scientific knick-knacks like I do, then this is a âI gotta have itâ item. My grandson checks it whenever he visits to see if it looks like weâre going to get some rain. Fun way to teach how weather works and it looks cool too. Youâll need some food dye to color the barometer water.

Great going away gift
Bought this for a colleague as a going away gift because it's nice looking and functional. I took the wood base to an engraver who put some cool words and designs on it to make for a functional, but sentimental gift my colleague will hopefully cherish for the rest of his life.

Cute, and works
Definitely works, and predicts storms, folks in the office like to peek in and see with it's doing as they walk by my door. My barometer, though, has condensation inside (I pretend it is clear clouds). I posted a picture: it is your typical condensation (so minus one star) and I've even tried swishing the water around to remove it - which it does for awhile and then the condensation comes back. Condensation is on the side facing the sun, whether it is 2' or 8' from my window I have that problem. I used distilled water so I wouldn't get mineral rings inside the globe, as there would be no way to clean it off so maybe that is the problem? Do as another person recommended for filling it - detach the syringe from the tube to fill the syringe - don't pull the tube out each time you need to fill the syringe. I put the tube in, then placed the globe in a coffee mug (it rested upside down with the rim of mug holding it in position) so I didn't have to hold it while filling. I didn't have any trouble with the parts fitting into the base, so though some reviewers did, so not all units are defective. I do recommend that once you've filled the barometer, set it in a bowl or other water catching device for about two weeks to observe it and ensure it won't overflow. It took me about that long to figure out how much water should be in the tube based on the fluctuations of air pressure in my area, and though it never overflowed, there was a time I was convinced it would have done so had I not been there to remove some of the water out of the tube (I rotated the globe and got it to flow back into the base unit).

Great product and customer support
When I received the product, two of the glass pieces inside the thermometer were broken. I got in touch with customer care and the seller sent me a replacement within a week! Great product and customer service. The set looks fabulous on my husbandâs antique desk and itâs a great conversation starter at our parties. Works perfectly.
