Purchased to replace an older meter especially for the peak reading feature.. And the fact it had built in light.Worked great very acurite.. But it's size was nice but wouldn't stack properly on my small bench with other equipment .. Returned ..

This version of the Diamond series of watt/ SWR meter is first of all affordable. Functionally it is a great design. I primarily bought it because it has QRP ranges on the Watt meter. Unlike MFJ versions, the meter works without having to apply power for the illuminating lamp. I am very pleased with this meter.

I had recently bought and mfj meter that was like this one.. only to find when it arrived.. it was dead.. returned it and got this one instead.. so far I love it.. it's very sensitive on setting the calibration on it.. which is a good thing.. bc the reading is accurate on it.. it's simple to operate and very clear on what to do for certain things to do with it.. I am happier with the diamond over the mfj.. that was my 2nd mfj I had purchased.. so for me.. I am pleased with the diamond and will stay with them from now on

For me there was nothing to dislike about the unit, it arrived packaged very well, with formed Styrofoam around the unit, inside the box was complete and clear instructions, the diamond meter itself performed flawlessly right out of the box, showing dead key power, forward swing and swr, for the average joe its a bit pricey in the 120 dollar neighborhood but it's worth every dime, won't hesitate to recommend,

I bought this meter for CB usage. It has no modulation setting, could be an issue for some people. My older Diamond SX-400 is made in Japan, this SX-200 is made in Taiwan.

This meter does what it is supposed to, but seems to have a higher insertion loss on the receiver side than others on the market. The scale is somewhat small, but good overall accuracy. I returned the item because of the insertion loss, but would repurchase for transmitter testing.
