I got these to use on car oil filters, their curvature fit the round filter body perfectly. Yes it really does work and traps the very fine metal particles that pass through the filter media. I highly suggest using these + a magnetic tipped oil drain plug on any engine with a timing chain, oil operated vvt cam gears, solenoids in the oil system, or push rods. Over the last year I have cut open several filters at 4k mileage oil changes and found very fine metal dust captured, the particle size so fine/small you can not feel it. A large % would easily pass through even the best quality filters media.

When I ordered I should have taken a measuring tape and actually measured. Got the part and it was smaller than u pictured in my head, but it works great and it's a strong magnet.

Used this in a 3d printed generator/motor build that I was testing out. the measurements were accurate enough that I had the build printed before it arrived. These magnets slid right in very snugly and smoothly, so the machining on these are spot on with the description. Very happy with this buy!

~ These magnets are super strong & don't come assembled in a cylindrical form as shown. They are flat on top of each other separated by plastic. ~ Take care with handling them since they can easily snap pinch your fingers if not careful. ~ It is tricky to put them together if you don't have a separator in between that fits the cylindrical hollow space in-between the magnets. So find a tube that fits then assemble the magnets around it. ~ The other tricky part is getting the correct polarities aligned so the magnets stick together.

Soooo strong! Love putting them into different configurations. Be careful, one wrong move and it will collapse, snaping down to its natural gripping cluster⚡️ It'll startle you but then still put a smile on your face. Even after a few snap implosions, there's no chips or cracks. You'll need stroooong fingers to get it back apart. Have fun!!

These are great for making magnets with alternating poles in a disc shape, but I am unable to contact the seller through Amazon chat about this manufacturer to see if they sell smaller similar wedge shaped neodymium magnets. HELP!
