It actually works pretty good. Impressed!
This is not a bad little unit. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much due to the cost, but I decided to give a shot. I mean, we've all spent $140 (or more. often more) on way worse things, right? It's hard to say how much worse at the moment, since it's still fairly new (only used twice). From what I've seen thus far, I have to say I'm impressed. It definitely allows you to see in the dark (just remember to turn the IR torch on), and at a decent range too. The flood option on the torch is good for about 18-20 yards with the 3 AAA battery option. I have yet to test the spotlight option at those ranges. Also, if your scope has a thin/fine reticle, it's going to be a little hard see. You can maybe play with the contrast, brightness and saturation settings to see if you can get better results. I'd recommend a scope with a slightly thicker reticle if you're looking to be a Gotham City Robin Hood. You're not going to get Gen5 Night Vision clarity, but for what it is and how much you spent on it, I'd have to say that it performs rather well.My biggest concern is how long will it last. Hopefully it doesn't conk out on me early. I gave this review 4 stars and that's simply because I haven't used it extensively. I'll edit my review if it seems to pass longevity.

Works fine. Nice budget “scope”.
Great value. I started to buy a upgrade IR Illuminator because that seemed to the biggest complaint about other bargain nv scopes. The one that comes with the scope is fine, but it is a little bright when shooting closer that 15 yards. I am using this on a pellet rifle to shoot rats and so far it works fine. The set up is clunky and needs to be adjusted constantly, but it does work. Its worth 130$ but I’d be disappointed if I paid much more than that.

Crap product, and crap service
The night vision kit didn't work from day 1, the clamp broke in my hand before I got it even mounted on the scope.Night Owl sends there new "upgraded" parts ( the same 2 clamps, and 2 extra battery packs, along with instructions for the kit) to fix the issues! Why extra packs when the camera doesn't work!?!I've been getting the run around from Night Owl for a month. They know a customer has a problem immediately with a product that they sold them but choose to ignore it! Then they offer you 40% of your refund back claiming that the plastic clamp breaking was caused from "human error", and the camera not working was secondly! Even though I told them it wouldn't focus or show any image just a bright white circle when I first email and every email after. Was told to use the broken non-working night vision as a regular camera instead!Had to get bank my bank involved!
