Great Product at a Great Price!
We replaced all of our old protection devices with these. We like the fact that the lights are easy to see. We are able to place several devices on one strip. Printer, laptop, monitor. This is a high quality product at a fair price.

works great, layout is well designed for multiple devices, looks nice
Nice looking unit for high visibility areas. High joule rating is one of the main reasons we got this. The always-on green LED is a bit much/annoying -- wish it had an off setting or disable option for the light.

Ok so i love this surge protector, ive been using it close to a year and its great! Luckily i havent experienced any reason for the surge protector part to work but so far i have a bunch of stuff plugged into it and it seems to work great! Everyone complaining about the light must have this thing sitting right out in the open or something, i have mine in a dark corner and i actually like the light, it looks like i got a witch brewing up some poison in a cauldron in the corner of my set up lol i actually recommend this protector to everyone i see lacking outlets. For the price it seems to be decent quality material, idk how accurate the whole joules thing is but i havent had any issues so i think it was well worth the price. The cord length is fine for my needs, it allowed me to tuck it in the corner instead of having it out in the open where its plugged in, it also made cord management look alot nicer.. over all id highly recommend this product to anyone that is hesitant.. JUST DO ITTT

Very nice.
This power strip is great, especially the high joule protection. Well designed, and even surprised me that there is an illuminated tab at the top labeling how each side of the power strip is protected. Works great.

More Outlets and Higher Protection Ability Than Other More Expensive Models
I didn't expect to love this surge protector...and honestly, I don't, because it's just a surge protector, c'mon, let's get real here. However, it's really a nice surge protector and for a unit with high surge protection (over 4000 joules) it's very reasonably priced. It has good features, not found in less expensive units and not found in many of the more expensive ones either. It is handsomely designed, 5 outlets along one side for standard plugs and three larger outlet areas for bulkier plugs. There is an on/off switch, so when you're away you don't have to leave the juice on when you are out hugging trees (thank you say the environmentalists) There are attractive lights that indicate when the unit is supplying power and when surge protection is active too. The case can be used on or under furniture, it's good enough looking to not have to hide it, but there are also receivers molded into the case if you want to mount it on the wall or on a furniture surface.Looks good, works well, versatile and reasonably priced, offering high surge protection in a well built unit. Plus it comes well packaged and was delivered really fast. If I need another surge protector, I would order another one of these without thinking twice about it.

Great for connecting stereo and video equipment with the long cord!
I already had one of these Amazon surge protectors with the shorter cord for the past year to protect some other devices and have been happy with it. Recently I noticed that my old surge protector that I used in my wall unit for my stereo/video devices stopped working (surge protector light went out) and I needed to buy a new one. The old one’s cord wasn’t long enough to reach the wall outlet and had to use an extension cord. I recently read that you are not supposed to use an extension cord with a surge protector due to electrical safety concerns.I ordered the Amazon item with the 12 ft cord and it easily reached the wall outlet. The larger adaptor plugs easily fit into it and since it’s narrower than most other surge protectors, it easily fit with everything plugged in onto my wall unit’s small compartment near my stereo/video devices.I particularly like the green lights that tells you that the surge protector is working and that it’s grounded.SOLVED MY PROBLEM AND WORKS WELL.

This product is a sturdy and economical choice, yes I taped over the green LEDs to soften the glow.
Pros: 1) The 3-prong plug fits snugly into the wall outlet (earlier this year I reviewed a different AmazonBasics surge protector that fit incredibly loose in the wall outlet and was prone to falling out if bumped ever so slightly, hence why I cite this as a pro). 2) For my needs (powering and protecting a basement home media center with a TV, TiVo box, network switch, and perhaps someday a game console) this has a decent amount of surge protection and it lets you know (via one of the green lights) when it's exhausted its protection capacity. 3) The spacing of the outlets works for what I need it for. I see some people have complained about the spacing of the outlets. In my case I do not (yet) need to use every outlet and likely won't ever need to. 4) It's a nondescript form factor and color that I can hide easily behind the TV stand (it can be wall mounted, though I don't plan to wall mount it).Cons: As many have noted, the green LEDs build into this (one to signify that it is properly grounded, the other to signify that surge protection is functioning correctly) are very bright, especially so in a dark room. Because I'm using this under/behind a TV stand in a room we use for evening recreation, I knew this would be a problem before I bought it, and confirmed so by seeing the green hue it cast under the TV stand and up the wall. This is a minor annoyance. I have some black electrical tape in my toolkit and it took no more than 5 minutes to cut several strips and apply them such that it blocked most of the green light. I chose to leave a small bit of the light visible on each of the two lights so that I can visually determine if the surge protection is still working and that the device is grounded. I am not going to downrate the product because of the brightness of the LEDs. This is not the first product I've had to apply electrical tape to to address brightness -- I've taped over LEDs on humidifiers, air purifiers, and yes, other power strip / surge protectors. But if you expect the brightness will be a problem for you and you really don't want to fuss with putting some tape over the lights, then you should avoid this product.
