Rubies DC Comics: DC Superheroes Costume Set for Kids, Boy's No Size

I bought this for a friend's 3 year old boy, as a birthday gift. The tunics remind me of a kids school basketball jersey tunic material, a little thin, but that did not phase the kids. Both the 3 and 4 year old brothers put them on as soon as they opened them and wore them the rest of the evening, at a restaurant even, and all the patrons around us kept talking about how adorable they were in them. They are easy for the little ones to put on and off themselves - lightweight and not hot. The masks and accessories are fantastic and really complete the set. I will say, the Robin costume is my favorite, it was sooo darn cute on the kids, but my 6 year old daughter looked pretty darn cute as "batgirl" too in the Batman one. Overall, LOVE this item and will definitely be giving it to others. Great deal for a 3 costume set.

This set of costumes is PERFECT for a lil superhero! My 4 year old son is in love with them! The fun value is astronomical and makes the price, priceless. I got the set from the warehouse of Amazon and it came in 2 days. The fabric is thin and breathable, perfect for the southern heat. And my son has been running around in one of the costumes since they arrived. You tie on the cape at the belly with the torso attached, which is fabulous and keeps from having anything choking them around the throat. Size wise I'd rate this ages 3-5 depending on how big your kid is. My son is 40 inches tall and 38 lbs and it fits him perfectly. If he was much bigger I don't think the chest part of the costume would totally cover him. For what I paid and how much he LOVES this kind of stuff, there are no words for how great this product is. If you have a lil guy or gal who just loves superheroes, this is a great set for imagination. It teaches them to "save" things. My son has rescued the cat from the backyard swing eight times already - the cat is not amused but I am! If you're expecting expensive, high quality fabric - this isn't the set for you. It's just light, thin, fun fabric meant to be worn and worn out by little people. Don't buy it expecting something worthy of the movies, get it for your little one to go crazy in.

I decided to go cheap this year for costumes. I got tired of spending $35 a piece for 4-6 costumes which got covered up by coats because it was too cold/rainy to go out without one. Plus with three super hero crazy lovin' boys, it was a hard deal to pass up. Before you get too excited, remember these are just sort of a tabard like thing. They slip over the head and tie around the waist. Personally, I was cool with that. That means no trying to dress warmly and squeeze the costume over the top. I was able to dress them in everyday clothes (complete with jacket) and then just throw this on top. Guess what? Not one sniffle or cough this Halloween! Cheapie costumes for the WIN!! Batman comes with his tabard (cape on the back) and a mask. Superman has red leg covers (these just pull on, like thin padded leg guards) Robin has green arm guards and a mask. The masks attach by elastic band that join in the back by a tiny piece of velcro. I can see this piece wearing out if it's worn a lot, and the masks were by far the worst part of this set. They were a great detail piece to add but they don't really fit the face well. I had a four year old wearing the Batman mask and it was just sort of like the eyes didn't set in the right place and then a 9 year old wearing the Robin mask and he had the same trouble. Almost like it poked them in the eyes to wear them. I don't think it was a child size issue seeing as they were so spread apart in size. But the best thing yet is that they now have three super hero costumes I can leave out and let them play with all the time if they want. No more having to tie on a blanket for a cape. :)

My nephew loved them. He wears them everyday after school and insists on wearing them to bed. Good quality.

These are very simple costumes that made my grandkids very happy. The quality is fine, although they might not be built to last forever. My only complaint is that I dearly wish there were a third mask. As you can see I am no purist when it comes to superheroes— Superman does not wear one, but my grandsons both wanted a mask that covers the face like the Batman mask! Wonderful purchase nevertheless.

I got this for my 2.5 year old because they were inexpensive. First super hero costumes for our family, and kids are so fickle I didn't want to invest in one character. Easy to put on for quick dress up. Slips over the head and ties at waist. I had to tack up the cape since it was long (meant for 4 year olds and up), and re-enforce the waist ties. My son has a large head, so the mask fits perfectly and comfortably. No pinching. It has a velcro fastening in the back so you can adjust it a bit. He's worn the batman costume every day since we got it. He even ended up wearing it for Halloween this year. Overall I'm really happy with this purchase. I didn't want to spend $30 on one costume that I would have to struggle to get him in and out of, and he would out grow quickly. I wanted him to have his own dress up stuff that he can easily play with, as his sister does. I don't fret about how much I spent on these, so he can wear them any where, any time. Easy to wash too.

My three y/o grandson LOVES these! They are not the absolute best quality, but they are decent and even wash-up by hand nicely with no bleeding or fading. They have had heavy use for nine months and still look great. They are a nice addition to his ever-growing dress-up collection. We get all the kiddos in the complex dressed as superheroes, princesses, villians, etc., and they play outside together for hours. It's so much fun watching them play the old-fashioned way. We literally have to drag them in the house when it starts getting dark. The kids think these costumes are great and that's all that really matters. And, while they may not last forever, unfortunately neither will the children's interest in playing with them as childhood is much too fleeting. :(

Easy for kids to put on and take off. Great for role play. Not too hot or heavy to wear.

These are great - easy for the child to put on, the capes are long and we'll made and the masks are cute. My children love them!
