Q: Can I use this as a small 'firepit' bowl on my patio? Much cheaper than 'real' ones!

I used the smaller Smokey Joe as a fire pit. It works but since they are designed to burn quickly down to coals, it seemed the wood went pretty fast. We were using pretty dry loose juniper wood though so it may perform better with a different wood.

Q: Will the box fit on a large suitcase of 30" x 19.5"x 8.5" ? Or Unassembled?

I'm not positive, but I think it would fit. The bowl part is close to 8.5 inches. If they are nested together it might just go.

Q: Is the vent on the bottom the same kind as the one on the top cover?

They are not the same but the top vent is hard to turn it will scratch your top cover it happened to me I don't recommend this grill my cheap $20 Wal-Mart grill is way better

Q: Is there a cover or carrying bag made for Jumbo Joe Gold?
