Q: can you tell me if this could be fitted to a static caravan? and also the size of the wall mount please

The mounting plate is in the order of 180 mm X 50 mm with 4 fixing holles. Extended there is considerable leverage on the plate. The mount would need to be secured to a strong internal timber member - but I would not recommend this due to tightening the bolts would probable compress the outer shell and insulation. At the best you could consider fixing a full height10mm X 50mm timber batton securely screwed to the caravan structure and fix to that if it could be made to blend in with the exterior decor and water tight.

Q: how high does this need to be off the ground and could this be fitted to a post sunk into the ground

I have mounted by bracket 6 ft from the ground to the centre of the fixing plate to a brick wall. This height works well. There is considerable leverage on the bracket when fully open and would suggest a post not less than 5 inches X 5 inches minimum well set in concrete.

Q: Does the parasole come with fixings

The screws and dowels to fix to the wall are'nt included because they depends of the wall's nature.

Really impressed

Soooo impressed with this. It is really clever and far sturdier than any floor based umbrella. I accidentally left this up in the recent storms and gales when I went away for the weekend.
