Budda Chakra Compressor Electric Guitar Effects Pedal

I am a gigging musician and guitar instructor. I have been playing for 19 years.I have been doing a bit of a shoot out of sorts between the MXR Dyna Comp, MXR Super Comp, and Budda Chakra compressor pedals. I have run a custom built Telecaster with Fender USA pickups, a modified USA Stratocaster with Kent Armstrong MP112 pickups and a PRS P22 with PRS 53/10 pickups through each of them. I tested them in front of a 1971 Fender Champ, a Blackstar HT Studio 20, and a solid state Fender Princeton Chorus "red knob".The Budda Chakra was, by far, the most transparent of the three pedals through all three amps (by transparent I mean altering the natural EQ and timbre of the guitar and strings as little as possible). It fills out the response of single coils without crushing the dynamics, although you can dial in a good amount of squish (if you wish). Push it into the front end of your favorite tube screamer type pedal and it is AMAZING!!! It is your fingers' and your guitar's tone, just MORE of it than you notice without it. It beefs up the Champ and Blackstar very pleasingly. It is hard to dial in a bad sound with it from punchy, plucky chicken pick'n to hot, buttery smooth sustain that will last at least until the polar ice caps melt and flood you off stage.Although the large chicken head knobs are cool I can see a stray boot toe kicking one or two off. Other than that, it is built super tough.I love it. It will be on my pedal board for a long while.

Use it on bass. Very transparent tone, I always have it on as first in line on my pedalboard. Great pedal for price.

I looked around for some time before purchasing this. Overall it gives me the tone I want.Probably not in the same range as MXR but certainly scores highly.
