RobartPinchless Correction Wide Port Mouth Western Horse Bit, 5-Inch

My favorite bit of all times I use this on Mules, quarter horses, gaited and none gaited equines.

Purchased to use occasionally on a very well schooled horse. Definitely a true 5-inch mouth; almost too small for my stocky Paint. Nicely made, and my horse appreciates the wide port, but the spring (?) movement is very stiff, especially for the first half-dozen rides. Not as pliable in the mouth as a typical correction bit, which I found disappointing.

Perfect to teach riders who don't have a consistent soft hand yet. Could possibly cause an unresponsive horse in some cases.

I purchased this bit to replace my well-used correction bit that broke at the hinge!It’s a nice bit for the price but my horse didn’t respond to it as well as the smaller port/copper mouth it had replaced.By no fault of the bit, I found a copper mouth version that my horse was accustomed to .

This is an excellent bit for a gaited horse and I've tried a number of different bits. Also an excellent price.

I could not use this bit because it is to narrow for a particular horses mouth. I need 5 and 3/4 inch bit.
