Dissolves easily in coffee and has no flavor
This collagen appears to be excellent quality. We use it in our coffee every day. It is a good value. My husband feels it helps his knee pain, and I think it has strengthened my nails.

Great collagen supplement for daily use
This is exactly what I needed for my skincare routine. The unflavored collagen powder blends easily into my smoothies without any taste. I appreciate the good amount of servings, making it cost-effective. It seems to promote healthier hair, skin, and nails as expected. Overall, a reliable supplement that fits into my daily routine.

Comparison: Garden of Life vs Vital Proteins
I bought both to compare -- so you don't have to! I have seen improvements in my skin, hair, and nails. Cellulite has nearly entirely vanished. My face seems smoother. The two have similar consistencies. Garden of Life appears finer, but Vital Proteins dissolves slightly better. There's really little difference there, so that should not be the deciding factor. Neither has a detectable flavor as far as I can tell. Garden of Life is MUCH less expensive. You'll save around $10 a container with Garden of Life. The ingredients in both seem to be high quality. The amino acid breakdown is comparable in both. But they are not duplicates. With Garden of Life, I noticed bloating, increased appetite, and weight gain. This is because it contains a probiotic in addition to the collagen peptides. Not everyone tolerates this probiotic, lactobacillus plantarum, well. I am now attempting to flush this flora out and replace it with other types of probiotics that have not caused bloating. I worked very hard to achieve my ideal weight and a flat stomach. It was disappointing to me to find myself looking 3 1/2 months pregnant and the scale showing pounds I thought I'd lost forever. It may take some time as this particular probiotic is known for sticking around. Vital Proteins does not contain a probiotic. Instead, it contains hyaluronic acid in addition to the collagen peptides. Therefore, I reordered Vital Proteins. I could use the hyaluronic acid. If lactobacillus plantarum agrees with you, then save the money and go for Garden of Life. If not, then I'd recommend Vital Proteins instead. If Garden of Life were to produce a collagen peptide powder with no probiotic, then it would probably be worth switching. But for now, it's worth spending the extra ten bucks and keeping a flat stomach, thank you. For this reason, I gave Garden of Life a 4 stars rather than 5. Others had remarked on the bloating issue and I had hoped I would not have the same experience; however, I did.

Mixed in well
Good quality collagen. I always look for grass fed products. I love to blend this in my protein shakes or mix it in my greek yogurt. It mixes in well and I can’t taste it. I love that benefits of collagen plus the added protein it provides.

Effective collagen support for daily use
This collagen powder is really easy to incorporate into my routine. I like that it's unflavored and pure, so I can mix it with anything. I've noticed my skin feels a bit brighter and my nails are stronger. It also seems to help with joint comfort, which is a bonus. The packaging is convenient, and I appreciate the clear labeling. Overall, a solid choice for daily collagen supplementation.

Doesn't dissolve well, bad taste
I've been using this collagen powder for a few months now, and have had mixed feelings on the product the whole time. Buying a collagen powder from another brand was what sealed the deal on writing this review. I was initially drawn toward collagen protein due to the claim that it dissolves easily and is tasteless. The extra benefits for skin, nails, and hair were great, but not my top priority. Imagine my disappointment when I found that the Garden of Life powder clumped up without fail, especially in cold drinks, and had a very noticeable taste if it wasn't hidden away by other flavors. Typically almost the entire serving of powder would turn into one big glob that I would have to try to break up and slowly dissolve. For context, I've used the protein powder solely in coffee and in smoothies (which I usually add coffee to as well). If I put a spoonful of the powder directly in my smoothie, a good portion of it ends up in globs on the side of my blender container. If I put it in coffee, I can notice a very distinct and, for me at least, unpleasant taste. The only way I've found to make it work is to brew some espresso over the collagen powder, stir it for a minute or so while smearing the powder against the side of the cup so that it breaks up the big clumps, and then add all of that to a smoothie. However, just today my order of Orgain collagen powder arrived, and the difference between the two products was night and day. The powder almost instantly dissolved in espresso, and when I turned that into a latte, I noticed little to no difference in taste. I'll be doing a lot more testing in the coming days on just how tasteless it is and how well it dissolves in cold stuff, but it's already miles easier to work with than the Garden of Life powder. I can only assume that the reason it's so much more clumpy and bad tasting is that the Garden of Life powder has probiotics added to it, hence me giving it three stars instead of one because the problems may just be unavoidable. It's also possible I got a bad batch, who knows. And if the idea of probiotics being included in the protein powder is a big plus to you, maybe it outweighs any drawbacks. Personally, I'd much rather take probiotics in pill form than deal with just the clumping alone. And I would strongly recommend trying another collagen protein product before or after this one, because there are definitely some major differences between them. I'll definitely be sticking with Orgain or one of the other myriad brands selling collagen powder.

Works for hair!
My wife uses this. She has a thyroid issue and one of the side effects is brittle hair. This has helped strengthen her hair. She has used this every afternoon in her tea for a few years and I can really see the difference. Her hair definitely has more body. My wife is happy with the results too, much less breakage. I can recommend it as a happily married husband with a beautiful wife!
