This is a well-written book, with clear instructions for making 10 different bags. I have sewn 2 of the bags, and I loved the step-by-step directions (I even found tons of helpful and advice and tips on the author's website). I highly recommend this book. I was greatly disappointed. The bag on the front cover, is wonderful, but the remaining bags inside are not what wanted or would consider making. If you like different bags and/or purses, then this is the book for you. But, if you want several different totes in various sizes. this is not the book for you.

I agree with a previous reviewer that the book is a big disappointment. Only the cover pattern is worth pursuing so purchasing this book is expensive for just one pattern. The rest of the patterns are pretty poor. However there are a few tips that might be useful for a beginner which is why I rated it a two.

YAY!!!! This is a great book - no matter what level of sewer you are (nubie sewers to experienced sewers), this book has something for everyone. I am so inspired to sew more bags and totes - especially since I love to embroider as well. The definitions of terms as well as the explanations of how-to's is especially helpful.

Very nicely done book. Good variety of different style bags. Nice explanation and well prepared patterns. Can't wait to try a few of these creations.

If a book is pattern free, might as well get it via kindle as it is slightly cheaper. I am glad this one is on kindle. My most favourite one is the tote on the cover. Makes a gorgeous gift for any lady who understands that, 'A Girl Can Never Have Too Many Bags'. :-))))

Boring, same old takes of many sewing projects out there for free. If I had browsed it in a shop I would not have purchased it.

I hoped for much more from this book. Considering returning it as there's nothing really creative or interesting that I haven't seen elsewhere or made up for myself.
