Good investment in your career.
Great read if you are new to management and leadership or just rethinking the way you have been handling things. The knowledge in this book can be applied to many different types of manufacturing or industry. It is an older book but still packed full of information to steer you in the right direction.

Fantastic, Practical, Easy to Read Book on Leadership. A Must Read!!!
Brian and Carl do an excellent job of applying the fundamentals of leadership into the every day manufacturing role with actual case studies and relatable examples. These principles can be applied to any position in industry whether it's in front line supervision, lab associate, plant manager, etc. I highly recommend this for anyone new to the manufacturing industry. The authors commit to respect, engagement, humility, and having a hands-on mindset as the keys to being a successful leader On the Plant Floor, and is a must read for the young aspiring supervisor.

Useful Bookf for Plant Manager
As a plant manager of a small food manufacturer, I find a lot of useful information to solve my daily operation problems and enrich my knowledge. Unlike other books written by college professors with too many academic theories or calculations, this book is focused on real work experience of the authors to solve problems in manufacturing factory. It is a good book for a plant manager.

With high employee turnover a good read.
With the state of hiring employees we are currently in, we are in more need of basic operating processes and supervisory material.I just reread "On the Plant Floor" and though written in 2012 is is standing the test of time. I am recommending this to all our new front line leadership at our plants.Good job Carlton (lol) and Bryan!

Manufacturing Knowledge For Experts and Dummies
On The Plant Floor is a worthwhile book for both experts and dummies on the topic of manufacturing. All U.S. citizens, regardless of their field or career choice, should become more knowledgeable about manufacturing. The authors, who are obviously are very experienced in manufacturing, make a complicated subject understandable and their advice can be put to practical use for existing manufacturing plants, as well as new greenfield plants. I highly recommend this book.

Great Advice
The book is relevant and helpful. It is written in the tone of an of an " old hand" in a shop sharing hard learned lessons to a newbee on the shop floor. I put much of the advice to use immediately and I have already seen an improvement with my crews performance and their level of teamwork. Thank you
