A Painting with "Fingerprints"

Batik is an ancient art and it’s one of the three resist printing techniques in ancient China.Now,it has a history of over 2,000 years.

Craft Process
The process of batik is not complicated.Melt beewax,use wax knife to dip in wax liquid,paint on processed cloth,and then dip in indigo liquid repeatedly.During the process,traces of wax will be broken,the dye liquid will soak the white cloth along the cracks,and natural patterns hard to copy will be left.When the colors are fixed,boiled water must be used to remove the wax.Places covered with beewax don’t change,forming the blue and white patterns.
But it’s quite complicated to make colorful batiks.Paint colorful designs on a piece of white cloth,seal the colors with wax liquid,the colorful designs form after painting,dipping and rinsing in accordance with batik.Besides,in accordance with general batik;it’s also OK to fill colors in white places after ringing and drying.

Artistic Characters
The ice cracks is the best charm of batik painting.It is like the beautiful ice flower or natural moire,really too wonderful for words.The ice cracks is just like human fingerprints,never have same patterns.In a word,the ice cracks is soul of batik painting.

How to Maintain
1.You can use double-sided tapes to paste the batik painting on a wall or mounting and framing it as wall decorations.
2.Placed it in a clean and dust-free environment,pay attention to the moisture - proof, corrosion -proof, to avoid mildew and borers.
3.After washing or having wrinkles,ironing the back side of batiks will be OK(do not use cleaner,do not machine wash).
NOTE:DO NOT WASH the heavy color batik !!!
