Easy to install

Easy to install (especially for a non-mechanically inclined woman) and works perfect. I used this as an external pump so I no longer have to carry a fuel jug around in my sandrail. Just install the pump and turn it on it flows right into the tank at a steady speed.

Good little fuel pump but

Worked well pumping old gas out of my boat. But made the mistake of thinking I could use it to pump water. Bad move. Appears to have ruined the pump.

Not reliable.

OEM pump was $130.+ so I figured give this a shot for $20. - I purchased two for insurance in case one failed. First one failed within 15 minutes. Second failed within 30 minutes! Both pumps seemed to heat up quickly internally. I could hear it still making noise after failing. Now some creative thinking since we were out on the water for the week! My suspicion was the pumps were overheating. I took a zip lock plastic sandwich bag and filled it half with ice, put it on top of fuel pump and the generator continued to run as long as I replaced the ice! So, if you do purchase one of these, bring a bag and some ice!
