Pelican Storm iM2200 Case With Foam (Black)

I used this for telescope eyepieces. It was easy to do the foam and the case was built like a tank.

I purchased this case for air travel with expensive and important equipment. From my experience, baggage handlers could care less about other people's luggage, so a hard case was a must. Pelican is a well known and trusted brand, so I did a little research on the type and size of hard cases Pelican makes and decided on this one. The size of the case was just perfect for its intended use. The case did an excellent job protecting my gear and took any abuse the baggage handlers gave it, as evidenced by all the scratches and marks on the case (but that's okay, because I think it gives the case some character). The press and pull latches are especially convenient and easy to use. I have no issues recommending this case to anyone looking for a good quality hard case. As a matter of fact, because I liked this case so much, I ended up buying another one.On a side note, I used the Lewis N. Clark Tsa Cable Lock 2 Pack to use on this case for air travel. It appears comparable to pretty much anything else out there in that style of lock, and it was more affordable here on Amazon compared to the others. For air travel purposes, these worked just fine. However, if you need a more secure option, these locks would not be sufficient...

Great case. Sturdy, spacious, and customizable. I’ve got a camera and 7 prime lenses, including a giant one, in here with room for accessories.

Sure it's expensive, but it is a pelican case and they live up to their name. I own several of these now, this one was perfect for storing lenses and other small equipment used for our telescope as we use it for camping so the cases get a lot of miles on them and they keep everything safe and in it's place even when getting tossed around in the back of the truck. Highly recommend to anyone who's looking to protect their investment.

When Storm first hit the market, they were in competition with world famous Pelican.At the time, the Storm latching mechanism was easier to use and could be closed silently as opposed to the Pelican hard snap into position. Well I guess Pelican took serious notice to Storm and evidently bought the Storm patent and thus now sells the product as Pelican/Storm Case. I purchased the Storm case without foam insert to store cigars. I moved from Florida to the south valley area of Nevada and cigars have a lifespan of about 5 minutes before self-destruction. The Storm Case with a tiny humidifier inside maintains an airtight, waterproof environment that keeps my cigars factory fresh. You can also run over it with a car just to describe how tough they are. I also have huge rolling Storm Cases with retractable handles I use for travel check in luggage. If you want to buy luggage for the very last time, buy a Pelican or Storm Case. The are available in virtually any size you might require and are truly a lifetime quality purchase.

Extremely useful for my first aid kit. Why buy a completed kit when you can customize your own based on your hobbies. It's a perfect size to transport in any vehicle either in the trunk or in the back floor board. The case is lighter than it looks, but built tough all around to be brought into the "field" of any work and personal environment.

Excellent case as to be expected from Pelican. Solid performer, latches worked intuitively. Although I like pre-cut solid foam better, the cubed worked very well. I pre-shaped and cut for two pistols with mounted weapon light/lasers on the top layer and did the same for magazines and ammunition on the lower layer. After an overseas flight, no shifting or damage was evident. My only issue is the limitation on the size of locks that can be used and I do prefer the metal reinforcements on the locking holes the other models have. Excellent product overall.

This case gets used to store a delicate flow meter/analyzer where the case will take somewhat of a beating and probably get wet at times. Other cases *might* protect against some water, but this is the #1 choice I go to when looking to secure our more expensive tools.With the plucking foam to custom fit the flow meter correctly, there is no other case that comes close to offering the protection and proven watertight features I'm looking for. I will buy again 10/10 for sure.
