I live in a meadow that has lots.........and lots of rattlesnakes. They terrify me. I've successfully killed some but you'd think that I had had three large pots of coffee. My heart and adrenaline were going a hundred miles an hour. I found this product and have been scattering it around my property once every month. It's September and, so far, I killed a baby rattlesnake and that was in early June before I bought this product. Do I recommend it?? Absolutely and unequivocally.

I can't say it works, I can't say it doesn't. I've spread it in my garage and have yet to see any more snakes, so it gets 5 stars.Plus, it smells nice.

Let’s start with the price-to-quantity ratio — this is only 3 pounds, and after spreading it around, I quickly realized it didn’t go very far. In the end, I had cedar mulch delivered for less money, and it covered much more area.To be fair, I haven’t seen any snakes since applying it, but I also put down several bags of cedar mulch, so it’s hard to say which one actually did the job.In my opinion, skip this and go with regular cedar mulch. It’s cheaper, covers more ground, and also acts as a natural deterrent. Not a terrible product, just not cost-effective.

We used this product around perimeter of yard. I was mowing our yard as my husband was spreading the product around the perimeter. A bull snake was in the yard so we chased it to the edge where the product was spread to see if it would cross and the snake would not cross. It just slithered along the edge of the line where the product had been spread.Having a rattlesnake den somewhere near the house we have rattlesnakes in the yard of every size every year. Upon using the product we had no snake enter the yard (except for the harmless one that was already in the yard prior to the product going down-it essentially trapped it in the yard until it could be lifted over the line).I would say this product really does work. I didn't think it would, but so far so good. We had snakes all around the yard, but none in it. Could be luck-but that would be extremely good luck for us. Every year for 12 years we have had at least one rattlesnake in our yard. The year we applied the product, we didn't have one-first time ever for us.The only complaint would be the cost is a little high for us as it will be a product we will reapply annually and have a large yard. Not worth the risk for us not to use as we have small children, pets, and a snake den nearby. Thank you for making such a wonderful and safe product!

This product did not effect the grass snakes I get to deal with. I put some down, extra heavy, the next day there was a 2ft snake laying right on top of it..
