Mine just arrived and are exactly what I was expecting and hoping for. Because I am building a “vintage” replica. If you have a modern USA Stratocaster and want to use these screws on it, don’t. The screws are likely too small in diameter for your guitar. Now, if you are one of the people in the one star review section, this is for you. To those that are crying that the plate is too thin and the screws are too small. Instead of accusing the seller of selling “FAKE” parts. Maybe you should have took note that these are “vintage style” plate and screws. Not the same that are used on modern USA strats. This is the way they were back in the 60’s. So if you ordered these to put into holes that are already drilled and threaded for modern hardware and end up stripping out your holes. That is your fault. Not the product, manufacturer’s or Fender’s. This is the same product that Fender sells on their web site in the hardware section. Exactly the same. I hate to burst your “expert” bubble, but Fender imports their hardware on their USA models. I know, you refuse to believe it. And the more money you spent on your strat the more you will refuse to believe it. But that is exactly why Fender is no longer allowed to put “Made in the USA” on their guitars. That is why they now put Corona California on their guitars instead. Modern parts are beefier than vintage parts. It does not mean they are fake. You just need to search for the right product. They are just filling the need for the “vintage” reproductions that have been all the craze these past years. Please do your homework before ordering. The seller does not deserve some of the negative reviews.

I think my biggest letdown was no Fender engraving on this one, but not a deal breaker. The plate is thick, which is obviously important. Plating is good, and holes are properly beveled and not too small. This allows them to accomodate different variations of screws, as I don't think this plate comes with them. My only issue probably has nothing to do with the plate but the body they are currently on, with the neck currently being used. The current screw holes seem to be too narrowly spaced in width (not length). This is a little odd, since the body seems to be cut for a slightly wider neck. But since the body is aftermarket and all this stuff varies and is a bit of a gamble until you measure everything, I can't really criticize the plate at all.
