Great Series!!❤
Twins for the Soldier is Book 5 of the Wickham Falls Weddings. So far in this series, I've met the Wainwrights, Remingtons and Wolfes. I love these families and their stories. In this book Leland and Angela are the H/h. They have been a little more than friends for a long time. Nothing's happened, just a feeling of what if... though they knew an attraction was there, it was never pursued. There's a little drama about family history that was very interesting. Read this series! I think you'll love it. I did. Rochelle Alers is a favorite of mine!😍

Promises made, promises kept!
Justin Mitchel made his best friend Leland Remington promise to take care of Justin's love Angela Banks if anything happened to him. Justin initially tried to live a life his mother Joyce wanted him to but finally lived his dream of joining the army. Unfortunately, he lost his life while out on patrol in Afghanistan leaving Angela a widow when she was only a few months pregnant with twins. When Leland's sister begged for help in saving the family home, Leland came home and soon realized he never got over the love of his life Angela. Now a widow of three-year-old twins, he no longer has to respect the marriage of his best friends. All of those feelings came crashing back to him. He never married because no woman ever compared to Angela. Angela was wondering herself, after being around Lee for a while, if she married the wrong friend. They had such an easy tete-a-tete with each other, not like she and Justin.Leland had to convince her that he always loved her and not just wanted to fulfill a promise to Justin. But would she agree to a marriage when she found out what he was planning to do once his sister's B & B was open? That was the question. Angela had already sacrificed one husband to the country, she was not doing so another time. This was a sweet easy read story with very little drama. It tells of the alienation of a family and its repercussions on how that affected the children in that family. US Army Ranger Leland Wolfe Remington found acceptance in the army. His sister Viviana, found herself always getting involved with the wrong man looking for a relationship that she did not have with their father. It also told about how the absence of a father in his children's lives took tolls on them in different ways. I just felt that Angel and Lee deciding to get married so soon after reconnection their friendship was unrealistic.

High school dreams can become real.
twtwinsmagine falling in love in high school and years later you actually get to marry the person you were in love with. Many times when one falls for someone in high school it doesn't last. Angela and Lee found that love can grow stronger with the years. Lee has loved Angela since high school. Angela married her then boyfriend. Lee's best friend. His love for Angela was his secret. He never told Angela how he felt until she was widowed and the mother of 3 year old twins.Good story. I like the twins. .

Great story...
I love this author. The story about Leland and Angela is a great love story that takes 15 years to become a reality. It shows the bond of three friends from different backgrounds become friends that last a lifetime. It just shows that life is short and that you never know how life will turn out.... Looking forward to read more about them in the future.....

2.5 stars. Do not expect any surprises.
Army Ranger Leland “Lee” Remington leaves the military to return to Wickham Falls, West Virginia, after he receives his sobbing sister’s phone call. Viviana closed down the boardinghouse after her live-in boyfriend stole her identity and swindled her out of her inheritance. The house is about to be seized by the county because of delinquent property taxes and she is being sued for large purchases she had never authorized. Lee plans to remodel the boardinghouse and reopen as a B&B within a year. First step is to take care of Viviana’s debt. The person Lee expects to see with his sister is his estranged father, Emery. On the plus side, he also runs into Angela Mitchell, his best friend’s widow and the lady he has been in love with since high school.Angela is the mother of two toddler twins. She has been living with her mother-in-law since her husband’s death. Problem is that Joyce has a controlling personality and is beginning to undermine her parental decisions when it comes to the twins. It is time for a change of address. Joyce is also vocal about her feelings when it comes to Lee and his family. Since Angela and Lee are starting to date, that address change needs to happen sooner rather than later.*** TWO AND A HALF STARS! I normally do not bother to write up a review for any title that does not receive at least three stars from me; however, this one came mighty close to that three star mark so I decided to do one. Lee’s past may have been hard, but in this story he gets everything he could ever hope for, all the way down to winning the VA competition. For me, everything was way too easy. He talks Angela into dating him, she falls for him, he and the twins get along fabulously, he asks her to marry too quickly and she agrees, the kids call him “Daddy” almost immediately – the list goes on. There is not enough conflict to keep me riveted. Interested, yes. But not riveted. The story is well written overall and is a great way to spend a rainy evening. Just do not expect any surprises. ***Reviewed by Detra Fitch of Huntress Reviews.

Good Read
Just the right touch of romance within the context of a love story. I very much appreciate the balance between a good storyline, character development, and intrigue sprinkled with romance. Rochelle never fails to develop a great story , warm characters, believable characters and a wonderful setting. I always enjoy her books!

forever love
Another winner by Rochelle Alers. Love does indeed conquer all. Friends since high school Lee and Angela have shared good times and bad. The outcast and the model are thrown together and perhaps now is their time. A sweet romance with realistic characters.

Slow
I started reading the story when first available. I struggled with completing the book, so I just put it down and started reading something else. I just finished the book this week. It was okay, not one of Ms. Alers best.

Hated it
First I have to say that the book is well written. However I hated the content making it impossible to give a higher mark. First thing first. This is the 21st century and the idea that someone with children will marry a friend they haven’t seen in 4 years within 3 months is ludicrous to me. Leland also taking a discharge to help his sister for something purely financial seems also far fetched. My biggest annoyance though is this attitude towards the military. I understand not wanting to be a widow twice but this suggests that all deployed rangers die or are medically discharged which is untrue. Also it implies that no soldiers can have a family, which is also untrue. The comment about how others were happy about being civilians is stupid. People like and want different things for their lives. She’s talking about if he love her he would give up, then I flip it and say if she loved him she would understand that he loved being a soldier. Then for her to be reluctant to even move for school whilst he’s given up his dream career for her? Unbelievable. On one hand she went on about how her mother in law pushed her deceased husband to become a doctor against his will but then she states that as she hated her time as a model she would discourage her own daughter to become one. What about supporting your children’s choices? Finally her constant comparison between her deceased husband and Lee were irritating to me. I couldn’t feel the love for him. I could see friendship and a father for her kids but that’s all.
