SO helpful for dementia sufferers
My Mum has dementia and this clock is a boon! She hasn’t got to try to work out what day of the week it is any more and finds it so helpful. The numbers are lovely and clear. I just wanted a simple battery operated free standing clock and this is perfect.

Excellent - no more ‘what day is it?’
Prior to installation, lots of repetitive questions, worries and confused arrangements about which day is it.All gone since it was installed above tel and calendar.Auto updates for summer/winter time, battery operated so stick anywhere, and able to switch off any option to accidentally changing setting.Only downside is the screen needs light falling on it from a particular direction as it’s not backlight. All in all, excellent

Dreadful quality - very cheap and nasty item at a not so cheap price
Ordered one of these for my elderly mother who suffers from Alzheimer's, hopefully to help her know what time of the day it is in terms of morning, afternoon, evening or night. The first one arrived in many pieces, probably due to the way that the delivery driver threw it over our gate onto the drive and then marked it as 'handed to resident', while we were watching on a camera from a few miles away. The glass in the front of the analogue display was shattered.Replacement arrived the following day, without broken glass this time. However, the glass in the front of the analogue display was offset from square and it moved around a lot. It wouldn't hold in place if moved to the correct position, which seems to be because it should be held in place by 4 right angle bits of plastic, one in each corner, but they are all broken to some extent. This one is going back to Amazon too as I've seen enough of the quality of this item to know I don't want to risk another.

Battery operated dementia clock
I ordered this clock for a relative with dementia. She kept unplugging the one she had, and it was very difficult to re-set.She can't unplug this one. It set itself automatically. Unfortunately, because of the gaps in the digits, she can't read the display very well. Holding it nearer to her eyes only make things worse. Also she endlessly asks what day it is, and the day in the display is much smaller than the time.Good for a dementia sufferer with ok eyesight.

Clear, straightforward clock for older relatives
Pros: nice clear, uncluttered display (unlike a lot of others), looks elegant, can work in multiple languages, can hang or be propped on a table with its standCons: angle of view is a little restrictedI bought this in the UK for a relative in France, and while the clock works fine and in French, the radio signal it picks up is the UKone not the Central European one, so I’ve had to disable auto-syncing. Still an excellent clock though.
