Great for beginner will need upgrades as time goes on
Great airbrush for beginner or professional I think. It comes with a whole bunch of stuff needed to start and honestly I have no complaints on any of the items. Iโve yet to find an issue with compressor, cleaning pot, or much of the other parts. My only โcomplaintโ is you will need to upgrade to a better airbrush in the near-distant future depending on your skill and progression. Itโs not a precision air brush but will do everything overall so not a complaint for starters because itโs a jack of all trades but as time goes on a new or multiple newer and better brushes will be recommended as you progress and get better. Iโve also noticed tarnishing on the parts fairly quickly for the brush. The compressor is great keeps up and does its job like it should and I have no issues with it Iโd buy this kit again if the compressor ever gives out. Iโll give a 6 mo update as time goes on and things progress.

hard to argue with the price
If you're looking at this, you're probably not experienced with airbrushing, and this wouldn't be for you if you were. This was a perfect introduction set. I had never airbrushed before and wanted to start for my wargaming collection. This has everything you need to get started. I began by using this to prime and do basic vehicle camouflage schemes. Since it wasn't very expensive, I figured I could replace with better quality stuff once I knew how to properly care for the stuff. The G22 airbrush is basic, but that was a good thing for a first brush. I wasn't afraid to damage it when learning to clean it because I could replace it so cheaply. Because it isn't an expensive brush, paint sticks to it pretty easily. The channel is a little difficult to clean, but this is really just an inconvenience. The needle also gets a lot of paint stuck to it, and I felt I had to clean it thoroughly between colors. Even when I switched to a better cleaner than what came with the kit, the paint still stuck quite readily. Once I learned to clean this one though, my next airbrush was a breeze (Badger Krome). The compressor works well. Since it has a tank, you don't have to worry about pulsing (if you believe in it, the internet seems divided). The regulator is cheap, so when you first start it or change your operating pressure you have to look back at it after a quick spray of air to make sure it is fixed on the correct pressure. The cleaning pot leaves a bit to be desired, but for the price I have no complaints. I skipped the paint, and haven't needed the cups or sticks, but it's not like there was a cheaper option without it. Finally, the adapter that comes with the kit hooks straight up to a badger airbrush if you decide to upgrade.

Great value for entry level
I am new to Airbrushing. I did a lot of research and settled on this kit, based on youtube reviews, amazon reviews and resources such as Don Wheeler's Airbrushing tips (search for Don's Airbrushing Tips, he has many good reviews of various brushes). I do not use the G22 airbrush since it is not very beginner friendly (according to reviews and my very limited experience). I bought a Badger 105 Patriot with a fine tip and I like it better than the G22. (it needs a male quick disconnect tip to be compatible with this quick connect). Whatever airbrush you decide to get, it's suggested to get another needle as a backup. I got a medium conversion kit for the Badger patriot as well, both as a back up and because a larger needle is more forgiving with regard to clogging. I feel that this kit is great for a beginner to intermediate user. There is good value in what is included, purchasing the compressor, paints, and airbrush cleaning pot (the glass jar) adds up to nearly the price of this package. The mixing sticks are like tongue depressors (I break them in 1/2 or 1/4's so they feel more appropriately sized). The paint set included 5 primary colors in the "opaque" line, 6 colors in the transparent line, and a pearlized white. The manual recommends giving a 15 minute rest break for every 10 minutes of use, and the air compressor will get hot after a while, but it will continue operating. Since my main purpose is to airbrush wargaming miniatures and terrain for said miniatures this works for me. For practice exercises I would suggest checking "airbrushtutor" on youtube, or on his site. For gaming miniatures I would suggest checking out SchnauzerFaceMinis (youtube or site as well). Happy airbrushing.

Excellent beginner set
I bought this setup knowing that I only wanted it for the compressor. I was going to be replacing the airbrush soon after getting it. Definitely wait for this to go on sale, like Black Friday or something... full price is ridiculous. When it arrived I spent some time playing with all the bits and bobs of it. The included airbrush is not exactly the best thing on the market and people you see youtube doing amazing artwork with it are well above average or professional painters. You really cannot compare their work to what you will get out of this airbrush. It is basic. It is forgiving. It will meet almost all of your needs. Many people end up breaking their first airbrush, so until you know it is for you... don't sink a lot of money into a super fancy one. After you put in a good few months at it, then you'll be wanting an upgrade to more features. The compressor... I'm beyond impressed with it. It runs very quiet and cool. On long painting sessions it is not unusual for it to kick in and top off the tank, I have not once been bothered by the sound or has it gotten hot to touch. If you buy this kit just for the compressor, it is worth the cost. I have not used the paints that came with the set. They seem to be good quality, ready to use right from the bottle with no thinning. The cleaning pot is junk, find a better one. The cups, sticks, pipettes are all good to haves.

Excellent kit
This is a really great kit to get into airbrushing with. Compressor: 5/5 Well built single piston with resivoir tank. Exceeded expectation as far as size and performance went. Regulator is pretty decent as well. G22 Airbrush: 3.5/5 What can I say, it's a starter airbrush. Not the most precise in action and performance but worth using. Great foundation brush. Not the biggest fan of the bowl-bottom paint cup though, as paint can get trapped and won't make it all the way to the bottom. I'll soon be stepping it up to a brush like the G26 or G35/36. Overall a decent starter brush. Createx Acrylics: 5/5 Love them. Moved over to all acrylics and this brand does great. Dries fast. Kit has wide assortment of colors. Comes with opaques, transparents, and pearlescents. Kit goodies: 4/5 The rest of the kit does a well enough job to make it worth buying. Loved how the paint mixing cups weren't blank and had detailed measurement markings on all of them. Cleaning pot quality wasn't the best but definitely did the job with a little modification. Overall verdict is this is one purchase I did not mind and was happy making. Thanks TCP Global/Master Airbrush

Excellent value.
Purchased this as "beginner" setup, but it is more than enough now that Iโm more experienced - donโt see any reason to upgrade.

Works great. The accessories is what sold me on this SKU.

Missing the how to airbrush and instructional DVD but Amazon made it right.
Mine arrived without everything that was supposed to be included. Everything else looked like it was allright. Amazon took care of me though so it's not too bad. The kit itself is okay. I've never airbrushed in my life so keep that in mind. I had little trouble setting it up, it's mostly plug and play. The air regulator and moisture trap can be a little tricky because it has to be perfectly perpendicular to the floor. The moisture trap must point straight towards the floor to work correctly. However the threads it screws into don't stop in that position. So you either have it upside down at a 45 degree angle, or too loose. I used plenty of the teflon tape on the threads, and then used even more so that the last 3-4 turns of the moisture trap were tight, and that let me get a good seal and have it in the right orientation. Since no instructions came with my kit i had to figure out that the air regulator locks. To unlock it you have to pull ^up on the knob then spin it counter clockwise like opening a water faucet. The more it's open, the higher the pressure needle measured. The air compressor charged up and worked fine however it has a tendancy to get very hot. Not just the compressor piston but the motor that drives it as well. Don't touch the silver colored motor or you may get burned. Also even at it's highest pressure of 40psi it doesn't blow very hard so this compressor is very light duty. I don't know that you could fill car tire with it and you're not going to operate power tools either. Also it cycles on frequently when painting. It may not last longer than a year or two if you don't let it cool down every so often if you're doing heavy work. I was just doodling on a piece of printer paper and it got too hot to touch. The paint it comes with doesn't stink like spray paint and the airbrush wastes nothing. This is the cleanest, non smelly spray painting I've ever done. Unlike a spray can, you can do this on your desk, without protective clothing or a drop mat. When I do spray paint in the can I have to go outside, even the garage with the door open is too restrictive a space. It also seems water based. Rubbing alcohol can remove it even dry. This is good and bad. It's good because cleanup is super easy. And Bad because whatever you paint can be destroyed by the elements. I can't imagine painting an RC car with this paint which is kind of the reason I bought it. I'm still waiting for an answer to some forum posts on a painting forum to see if I need different paint for RC lexan. The spray bottle cleaner is great, it's heavy glass and cheap plastic, mostly heavy glass, and for the most part is sturdy. It didn't come with instructions but I think I was using it right, cloth circle goes in the vent hole to keep fumes in, then you just spray it clean in the rubber grommet. The airbrush itself is smaller than it looks in the pictures and worked well. I've never taken one apart but I didn't have any trouble getting the needle, double action trigger, adjustment parts, etc off for cleaning and back together without incident. Cleaning took longer than I would like but maybe I'll get faster. The holder is heavy duty, and can hold 2 in the yellow thingies, and 2 in the plastic ones in the base, 4 total.
