Bible Belles Children's Book: "The Adventures of Rooney Cruz: Hannah The Belle Of Prayer" Kid's Prayer Book For Age 4-10 Kindle Edition

My daughter isn't into it. We read it together when it first came but now it just sits in her library and she never reads it (and she LOVES to read). Idk. I am curious about some of the other stories because THIS one was a little difficult to explain to her...the whole thing about him having two wives, and then Hannah basically had a "happy" ending because she was blessed with a child (which, seemingly from this story, she only wanted so she would be more favorable to her husband than his other wife who treated her badly)... more of a story for adults..Definitely not one I would choose if I wanted to empower a little girl. My daughter couldn't relate to any of the characters. I was also a little disappointed that it SEEMED like there would be a personal lesson for the main character, Ronnie, at the end and dealing with some school bullies, but they literally ended the story without letting us see her APPLY whatever she learned. The bullies confront her once again at the end, calling her to come to them, then its over...we don't get to see that interaction, or watch her confront them, or find out what they wanted from her...NOTHING. Considering the beautiful purpose behind this book and the vision that the author had, I was actually pretty disappointed and feel it wasn't worth the price.

I almost past this product up because the picture shows you a Spanish version. I read the description, which did state English, so I took a chance. Thankfully, it was the English version. The picture is misleading.As for the story, it gave an overall good message. The part I did not care for was mentioning Hannah was one of 2 wives to her husband. Not ideal to explain to a 3 and 6 year old.

I do like the concept of the book....but was disappointed that it really didn't cover the book of Ruth...

I was disappointed in this book. I got it for my niece because the book of Ruth is one of my favorite Bible stories about love, commitment, endurance and blessing. This book begin with a poorly explained misunderstanding between two friends and then leads into an incomplete and short episode of Ruth which is told to the main character by a fairy angel. The faith-based messages are not tied together and the book is confusing and incomplete. I bought the book set for my granddaughter and will return it as soon as I get it. These books are expensive to boot.

Good pictures but it was a lot too much for my 7 year old daughter. I had to explain why the man in the story has 2 wifes and the bullies in the story are just too aggressive. I think there are better books for our daughters.

This book is amazing! Every young girl in the world needs this - there is nothing else like it. It takes you through trials of modern life and teaches you how to utilize the "super powers" of Hannah (the power of prayer) and seek God in all things. The illustrations are unbelievable and will connect with young girls in the same way as a Disney movie. I'm so impressed and thankful that there is a book series out there to help raise girls to learn the qualities of powerful women from the Bible!

I purchased two and plan on the third. My granddaughter is very much into superheroes and star wars. She enjoyed your first book and asked if I would get more. It is nice to have books written about true to life heroes especially from the bible. Please write more!
