Review: A Very Good Camera for the Money - Over the past four years I have purchased six CoolPix cameras. One for my wife, then one for myself, then one to replace one left in a taxi, then a couple for a charity, and finally one for my office. Each CoolPix version has a little better capability than the one before, but they are all simple to use and take amazingly great pictures and videos. I like not having to carry along a charger and being stuck if the camera unexpectedly needs to be recharged. The batteries last a long time, even when using the flash. I keep an extra set of batteries in the small camera case I bought and so if the batteries die in a minute I can be taking pictures again.

One for my wife, then one for myself, then one to replace one left in a taxi, then a couple for a charity, and finally one for my office. Each CoolPix version has a little better capability than the one before, but they are all simple to use and take amazingly great pictures and videos. I like not having to carry along a charger and being stuck if the camera unexpectedly needs to be recharged. The batteries last a long time, even when using the flash. I keep an extra set of batteries in the small camera case I bought and so if the batteries die in a minute I can be taking pictures again.

If I could give this camera 0 stars I would. I bought this about 6 months ago to use when blogging. I just blog for fun about beauty products and needed a simple camera to take pictures of small objects to review. This camera is garbage. 90% of my pictures are either a black screen or a white screen. I have to delete hundreds of pictures at a time to weed out one usable photo. I really wish I could just get a refund. This camera doesn't focus on anything, sometimes uses a flash and sometimes not, sometimes the pictures have a deep yellow tint, etc. I can't imagine if I were trying to take a photo of a person and I had to keep taking it 20X to get something halfway decent. Don't waste your money on this trash.
