Are these dry wax paper?

Yes, these are dry wax papers - wax paper like you find on a roll. but cut into squares that are the right size for separating hamburgers or other things.

Can this be used as a sticker backing?

Not sure what you mean. It would not stick to the sticker, I don't think.

Can it use for hot tamales?

I have not tried it on hot tamales....I use it to separate crepes. It is waxed paper cut into squares. Can you use waxed paper for hot tamales? Probably - after they are cooled for a minute.....

I want iron-on stencils - cut out shape, iron onto fabric, paint cutout area, and then peel the wax paper off. Will these stick if ironed on?

I really doubt it as the squares are very thin, made to use separating cookies etc.
