This is by far the BEST protein I've ever consumed! I don't take the time to write many reviews, but I wanted to share my thoughts for those of you looking for a good protein powder. 1) I can't handle the many additives to other powders. Not only does it cause my stomach to bloat, but I feel terrible knowing I'm drinking a bunch of stuff that I have no idea what it is! This protein has clean ingredients. I have absolutely no bloating with this protein. 2) Can't stand the chalky taste of most protein powders. Seriously, I could probably eat this stuff with a spoon. GREAT TASTE, the best tasting I've ever had. I have added it to hot milk and cocoa for a great tasting hot chocolate, and I've mixed it up in cold milk and it tastes like a vanilla milk shake. Seriously, if you're on the line about whether to go with this protein or not, take my word for it! I will NOT be switching to any other. This review is specifically on the vanilla bean flavored.

This protein powder is amazing. At first I would just mix it with almond milk and the taste was pretty good but I could kind of taste the stevia. Now I blend it with frozen bananas and almond milk and it is SO GOOD. It seriously tastes like ice cream and I love it. It’s my first protein powder as I’m new to working out, and it keeps me feeling full and my muscles are growing so I would assume it’s helping with that as well. The ingredients seem pretty good compared to other protein powders which have less protein and more sugar. I love the mocha cold brew flavor (not a super strong coffee taste though)

This is a great tasting (vanilla) easy to mix, dose of protein that seems to have improved every muscle in my body. I’m an older man and lost a lot of muscle. Before I started this, I could barely feel muscles when I flexed. It was mostly squishy. Within a couple of weeks I noticed a big difference. I’m not ripped, don’t get me wrong but it’s a big, noticeable difference so yes, it’s effective. I must have been deficient in protein. I will be purchasing more of this and use it regularly. BTW, I don’t like anything with an aftertaste. This product doesn’t have that, it just tastes really good. I use 4-5 oz of water, I tried 8 but prefer it a little creamier.

We've tried a lot of protein powder (my husband is a gym junkie), and I have to day this is one of our favorites. It's on the more affordable end for protein powder, but also doesn't taste cheap. It's been fine on my gut, which tends to feel not so great on certain protein powders. I like mixing it in with Greek yogurt, or with hot milk or water like hot chocolate. It's one of our staples.

Product is as advertised. Flavor is good. Definitely appreciate the absence of artificial sweeteners. Here is the only problem: packaging or handling of it. This my second order of the same product. The first shipment had a large hole and had protein powder all over the shipping box and the other 2 items included in this shipment. I was immediately refunded and I tossed the entire bag. I re-ordered it and the same thing happened again, but this time the hole was smaller...but in the exact same location. I kept this order and emptied the contents into the ON Gold Protein Bag I just finished. So I'm not sure if this is a manufacturer issue or an shipping issue, but someone needs to get this figured out.

I've used Ascent vanilla bean protein for years, even before this was available on Amazon. This makes great smoothies and also blends well in a shaker bottle with water. I like the resealable bag, never had a problem with it. The vanilla taste is complimented by any other flavor you add such as cocoa or banana.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have tried MANY protein powders. This one tastes great. Is smooth. Clean ingredients. (Thankfully, no sucralose) I am pretty sure this one is going to be in my pantry a lot! I love it. I got the vanilla bean and it tastes like ice cream to me. I mix it with coffee and a little milk in the morning. So good.

Ascent vanilla seems to be a very good protein. Mixed my first with 8oz water, will be trying with less water next dose. Also plan to use with a "triple zero" style yogurt (fun fact: great value low fat Greek is exactly the same as oikos) for a 40g+ protein snack. No funny aftertaste either and has a lot of versatility with its mild vanilla flavor
