I've always had really good experiences with Ryobi batteries and this looks to be no exception. As a rule, they give extended dependable performance as long as they're cared for properly. Keep them away from freezing temperatures and they'll reward you with long service life. The 3 Ah platform is a perfect balance between available power and weight. It's good for many jobs when all-day power isn't needed.

Works very well .does what is advertised. Not sure about longevity. Haven't used very much .but I am sure with more use can make a better assessment.

Battery lasts through a full day of baseball games used for the fans. They do not take long to recharge- we have 3 fans and 3 batteries and all 3 work great

Great combination of size and power not too big but packs a lot of power. Great price too!

Oh the power of 40V and the higher Amp rating makes using my tools so much more fun. More than a doubling of usable life and more actual power when On. Recommended. Interchangeable with my other Ryobi tools.

Unfortunately, as with so many battery, cordless items, the batteries are alot of money and in some cases almost worth just buying another whole unit. In this case, we wanted two batteries to make sure we could get enough battery life to get the lawn edged and trimmed without the need to recharge. A note to all buyers, once your battery is fully charged, take it off the charger it's better for the battery.
