Description

Active Carbon in porous pellets of 5mm fractions. Due to its exceptional active surface (minimum 1000 m2/l from one gram and iodine number over 1000 mg/g. It absorbs organic pollution, phenols, pesticides, detergents and metabolism products, some heavy metals and drugs. Carbo is Active Carbon developed especially for aquarium water treatment. It reduces organic contaminants to trace amounts insignificant for perfect parameters of water in an aquarium. Water coming out of the filter is crystal clear and free from harmful chemicla compounds. Due to its highly porous surface carbo can also absorb humus compounds and active substrates in drugs for fish so it should not be used during a medical treatment or together with peat or other products releasing humus compounds. Carbo contains less than 12% of ash and its consistency is about 420g/L which makes it exceptionally high quality carbon. Any active carbon should not be used longer than for 15 days. After this time it loses its properties and can negatively affest the water parameters.
