A useful idea, if you want a PIR motion sensor quickly and easily without replacing any wiring, then these are for you. Just plug them into an existing lamp socket and you have motion detection. A particularly useful feature are the three controls so you are able to set them to your exact needs using the distance /sensitivity, timer and light level settings. Most PIR sensors do not give you this much control. The only down I have found is that they only seem to come in M27 size Edison Screw (ES).

Bought this for my hallway but I noticed it only senses from one side only, the side the adjusters are located. You can walk right up behind and below the bulb within 30cms and it doesn't come on. Although it will pick up several meters from the side the adjusters are on. So unless your light is at the end of a hallway and when you screw it in it coincidentally faces the right direction it simply won't work. If after screwing it in the adjusters are facing towards the wall, then it won't work at all. My light is situated in the middle of the hallway, if you enter from one side the light will come on but doesn't from the other side. The sensor has a one direction narrow field of vision, not 360º and below as I expected.

I've spent about two weeks trying to adjust the settings of these bulbs to work reliably. Today I discovered something that is not documented in the instructions, infuriatingly. The bulbs self calibrate when they are first switched on. They do not recalibrate every time they are switched off and on. You have to physically unscrew and short the bulb to reset the calibration - this needs doing pretty much every time you change any setting or risk preserving a broken calibration. Maddening. I may yet return them.

Yeah spot on for what I needed, turned a standard outside light into a motion detection outside light so I can leave it switched on through the day and it only comes on in the evening

I bought two of these bulbs for two different outdoor lights. They both just stay on permanently. I have set the motion detection to minimum, time on to minimum. Makes no difference. They are basically just two expensive bulbs.

Deze lampen werken zeer goed, ze zijn eventueel instelbaar qua gevoeligheid, maar in de uiterste standen werkt de lamp zeer goed en kan max. 5 min. branden, constant detecteert de lamp opnieuw en blijft dus branden zolang je in de ruimte verblijft.

Lampada a led con buona luminosità. Dotata di sensore crepuscolare (regolabile in luminosità su quando accendersi) e di presenza (regolabile in distanza di rilevamento) hanno anche la regolazione per quanto riguarda il tempo di accensione. Luminosità più che buona. Ne ho comprate 5.

Éclairage de lieux de passage sombres en extérieur la nuit . L'ampoule radar de mouvement est réglable en durée d'allumage, distance de declenchement et sensibilité de lumière du jour. Je la recommande car le fonctionnement est impeccable.

Got these bulbs for our lights outside on the house as they don't come with motion sensors. They work really well, however, one of the lights is sometimes delayed and requires us to jump around to get it going. Otherwise, we're very happy. They make good light, bright and wide angle and good options to adjust them.
