I love this lap desk! I do have a home office but sometimes I need a break and want to work on my couch - this is the perfect solution. I was looking for something that would allow airflow as my laptop can run hot sitting directly on my lap. I have a 13" Macbook Pro and it fits perfectly and allows my iPad to sit in the slot horizontally to use as a secondary display. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I also love that it has a mouse pad and a wrist rest. My only complaint is that it is a little hard so it can hurt my knees a little bit, but that's not a big deal in comparison to all of the great features this product has to offer. Very pleased with this purchase!

I love my new lap board! My phone, tablet and portable hard drive all fit in the slots provided, though I have to use the same slot (the one closest to the edge is slightly bigger than the one further in). There's plenty of room to work using a mouse with my laptop. The wrist rest is nice to lean on but my laptop is taller than the wrist rest so it doesn't really work for typing comfort for me. It's solid and sturdy. I wouldn't eat over it, as the mouse pads on either side are set-in. Crumbs could get caught in the edges. The board is compact in that it's thin and easy to store either flat or standing up against a wall. I thought the lack of a pillow on the underside would make it uncomfortable but I was surprised. It sits easily on my lap as long as it's not wider than the arms of the chair you use. I'm really happy with this product.

I like the fact that it is wood. It's not as comfortable as the one I left in Canada

I like to work on the computer in my semi- recliner, so I had been looking for a solution when I read a Wirecutter review of laptop desks. This model was a runner-up, but it was perfect for my needs. I'm a big guy and my laptop is a big high-end Dell that runs hot. This lap board is firm (and heavy) with a symmetrical mousepads covered in a fine fabric and there is a wrist bar that might be useful for some laptops. In addition there are grooves at the far end of the board to support your phone or whatever. The board is made of bamboo, so a sustainable natural product. Finally, at 22 inches, the board fits perfectly between the arms of my chair. I've been using the lap board a lot when I am working at home and have been very pleased with it.

I had been looking for a lap desk that would work with my 17-inch laptop and checked out many. I decided to give this one a try and am so glad I did - I could not be happier. The look is nice, it feels good on my lap, I no longer feel the heat the laptop generates due to the breathing holes and my large laptop fits great on it with room to spare. Made of bamboo so very durable and sturdy. Very happy with the purchase of this lap desk.

I use it setting in the recliner of my RV. We have recliner seats instead of a dining table and bench seats. The recliner seat lays back some when fully up, so working on laptop while it is on try table isn’t comfortable for long. This sets in my lap and holds the computer, notepad and phone. I use the touchpad instead of mouse, both there is room for a mouse to work. When I’m done it just slide between my chair and the wall, out of the way.

Can't speak for durability yet, but it seems pretty solid. The only bad things I can say about it is that it can be uncomfortable at times because bottom is not padded, and it's a little heavy. HOWEVER, both the lack of bottom padding and the weight contribute to the stability of the platform -- feels like sitting at a desk! Oh, and it'd have been nice if there were more holes in the tablet/phone slots for cables, but nitpicking. Better than I'd expected from this. Better than I expected it to be

my product was curved from the start and I've heard it snap from the heat of the laptop on the top of the platform and the bottom is cooler so that heat difference causes shape changes. there are at least a dozen cracks so far and I've only used it a week. Given its curved, the wood ends up blocking some of the vents on the gaming laptop. I had high hopes for the holes in the middle allowing cooling. most of the lap desks are ill designed and have way too many features to be of true use.

Perfect for my needs and one of the few manufacturers with the foresight to remember that some of us are left-handed.

Sadly, while this lap desk looked wonderful upon arrival and promised to be just what I needed, within the first hour of using it, it started cracking lengthwise. It simply could not stand up to the heat of a small tablet computer. Puzzling, since that is what it was purportedly created for. Hour after hour it cracked more as a result of warping. I should have sent it back immediately, but I liked the desk and thought it couldn't get much worse. I was wrong. Now, a year later, it is basically unusable. When placed on a hard, flat surface, the centre of the desk (running lengthwise) rests over an inch above the table. I don't like to write negative reviews, but I wish I had been given the heads up before purchasing. I expected more for the cost of the product and never would have purchased it if I had realized it would not stand up to reasonable use.
