We bought this for my mom
The Tab Grabber has worked like a CHARM for several months now. It may scratch up a small part of mom's electric wheelchair, but that's a small price to pay for the convenience and safety of securing the iPad. Well worth the investment!

Wheelchair tablet holder
Although the grapper itself works very well most of the time. My grandchild does not always leave the computer on it as it does make it difficult to go through some door ways, therefore, pulling the elastics and one of them has broken. It is a great item and has solved many of her problems relating to being in a wheelchair.

too large to hold my iPhone but perfect for my grandchild's iPad
too large to hold my iPhone but perfect for my grandchild's iPad. the clamp where it attaches onto her wheelchair seems a bit flimsy though. time will tell how well it holds up.

Broken after only a month use
At first we thought this was great, but less than a month, the inside cord pulled loose and broke. This was normal wear and tear only. In fact we didn't use it a lot. My husband tried to fix it once, and it broke again. He finally took it apart and put a heavy duty part on the inside and so far so good. Would not recommend this item.

Great for beds too, very sturdy and rigid.
I use this mount on my dad's bed in the nursing home he's in. I wrote web application for a RCA Viking Android tablet that uses colored blocks that represent video categories.Green is the funny videos he loves, red is our family videos from the 60's and 70's that we converted from 8mm to VHS, then captured to raw AVI, then converted to MP4 and added his favorite music to. The blue block is is family pet videos, etc. When a colored block is pressed the app loads all the videos / movies in that category with blocks containing a photo or DVD cover which represents the video.Once he presses on a DVD cover or photo block, it will load the video and play fullscreen. When video is tapped, it displays LARGE controls. Play, pause, volume up, volume down, mute, timeline, and a big "back" button which will return him to the video list. A big HOME button that will return him to the main screen. The videos are converted to MP4 and use HTML5/CSS/jQuery/PHP, and use MediaElement.js to control and style the player since HTML video tags alone are very limited. The app runs on a free LAMP server app I found on the Playstore. I can remote connect to his tablet and FTP videos to directories and the videos show up on the app. If I create a new parent directory, it shows up on the main screen and then it's child directories contain the videos. It all runs through a browser window that loads when the tablet is powered on (in case the battery runs out and DC power is unplugged). My dad has late stage Parkinsons and sadly can no longer use the app as I intended (he can't press the blocks), so I am hoping he can use a smaller tablet placed under his right hand to control the larger tablet that plays the videos.I also bought him a "Wonder Bible" here on Amazon, and while I was skepical, it really is a great product. Very soothing to listing it doesn't need to be loud at all to hear it clearly.Even though his motor skills are almost completely gone, and his heavily medicated to control his tremors and shaking, I can see in his eyes he understands most, if not all, that is going on around him and when we talk to him.Anyway, I thought my web application may be of some interest to someone who could benefit from something like this and I would be glad to help if I can.Stay away from anything c*nsumer cellular.

It works great and have not had any problem with it thus ...
This tablet grabber was purchased for my husband to use while in his wheelchair with his tablet. A stroke left my husband completely paralyzed on his left side including his vocal cords. It is what he uses to communicate with friends, family, and nursing staff at home. It works great and have not had any problem with it thus far. He has had it for almost 4 years now
