Ideal additions for bedroom fans
We had brand named versions of this ceiling fan remote kit before in another house and couldn't wait to get it installed in our new home as well. The key feature we were looking for was the thermostatic function. You set a starting temperature, i.e. 74°F and the fan will come on automatically when you set it to out. Should the temperature rise, by 3° it will switch to the next speed level and after another 3° to the highest level. - Should the temperature get lower, it will switch back to medium and the lowest setting. This is especially useful in bedrooms during the night when you are not awake to adjust the fan speed to temperature changes.I found that the normal lowest setting of ceiling fans is usually already a little bit to high. To compensate for this, I set the ceiling fan manually to the middle speed position, which then will be the highest setting the remote can switch to and position 2 and 1 become respectively lower. That makes the first step a perfect smooth breeze as a starting point. The light dimmer works also very well with a one button operation. Keep it pressed and will cycle from low to high to low...After cycling it to a preferred position, you just need to press the same button briefly to switch it on or off.

Great product!!!
This is a wonderful product! Our main source of heat in our house is the gas stove in the dining room. In order to disperse the heat throughout the house we have the ceiling fan on low in the same room as the has stove. This works great...until the gas stove turns off because it has reached the set temperature and the ceiling fan keeps going....blowing now cool air through the house! This product solved that problem. Now, when the gas stove turns on and the room reaches a set temperature, the ceiling fan goes on automatically. When the has stove goes off and the room starts to cool down, the ceiling fan goes off automatically!! Works great!!

Very good quility product.
They are the best remotes i have ever purchased for ceiling fans. Thermostat control was a plus, did not think i would like that feature however it works great. The units are easy to install i am going to order 2 more fie my patio.fans. note you may need to use a piece of clear tape on the battery lid as it like to work loose no big issue however.

Almost perfect but somehow fix that battery door!
Remote sometimes stops working because the battery door opens by itself. I taped it, but don’t know how good a fix this is. Tape interferes and with sliding the remote into its holder. The holder mount holes are not spaced the same as a light switch. Other brands cover the light switch to prompt others to use the remote instead. Wish it had a backlight function. The light dimmer is not as smooth as the name brand, but works fine. The receiver was plenty small enough to fit in the fan hanger—I was concerned about it not fitting. You may have to turn it around, because it only fits one way. Installation was very quick and easy, relieving another concern. Works perfectly with my 3 speed fan. A real bargain. Just wished there was a good fix for the battery door (remote will be wrong on its settings after the batteries pop out).

Updated - bought 2 more - Works well. Could use some updates to 'software' / control behavior. Overall would buy again.
Works as expected. The "software" would benefit from updates - the remote does a "down" adjust of light, followed by "up" adjustment. It's a bit annoying not being able to go "up" without proceeding through the 'minimum' setting. Note: minimum is 20% which seems to be an artifact of LED's and other silly lights which cannot usefully dim. If you are lucky enough to put good quality halogens in here, it would be great to be able to dim below 20%.The motor control works well / as expected. The remote loses sync with the fixture periodically, but a few button pushes gets it back in sync. The battery terminals are problematic in the remote, and if you adjust them by pulling them "up" a bit, it will help with reducing the popping open of the cover. Bumped to 5 stars, purchased 2 more of these. They're the best out there afaik.

Just as advertised
Dose's are the best for any fan, I installed six of them and they all work great, no more getting up in the middle of the night to turn the ceiling fan off, works all automatically now, WOW

Light control needs work
The Fan controls are amazing! There's a timer, a thermostat and a manual setting. The light controls, on the other hand, need lots of help. The transition from 100% to 20% is far too fast. There should be up/down buttons for the light brightness INSTEAD of the long-press-to-dim. If you go from 20% to 30%, and want to go back to 24%, you have to go ALL THE WAY back through 100%, than back down to 24%, and by that time the level indicator is moving WAY too fast to catch the right number. And on my dimmable 40W-equivalent LEDs, the brightness doesn't noticeable change between 50% and 100%, so that leaves half the dial (and half the time to raise/lower it) useless. With all the buttons on here, I think the designers/programmers fell way short of the potential. If they can disable the long-press dimmer and use the up/down buttons instead, that will fix it.
