A little expensive but worth every penny for the reliability of the product works super well but does get a little hot sometimes

Why is Amazon sending out used/returned items? I paid for a brand new thermostat but as soon as I took it out of the box I could see it had finger print marks and scratches all over it. After installing it, which took ages, it wouldn't turn on so was obviously a return. I then noticed it was set to 32°c when in the instructions manual it says it would be on the minimal setting upon opening. It was also missing the spare fuses it says it should come with. It was obviously returned by a previous customer for not working.My snake has now been without heat for 2 days. I ordered this immediately upon realising my old thermostat wasn't working, it was suppose to come next day but instead came the day after and then arrived broken.Update: Amazon have issued an instant refund. It doesn't fix the issue obviously but it definitely helps not having to return the broken product, so I'm thankful for that.

The media could not be loaded.  I had this exact thermostat with no issues but this became damaged by accident so I know the thermostat works well but having just received this, is it an issue I can fix or will I need to return it? My tort has been without dimmable light for 5 daysEdit.This is longer even turning my heat lamp on and will need to purchase another.
