Stromberg Carlson Manual RV Step

I just installed this in my Ram Promaster campervan. The quality is very nice and sturdy. It's not motorized, but who cares - just one more needless motor that might fail on you over time.I bought this on the recommendation of another reviewer who made it sound like it went in easily to his Promaster, but there aren't any bolt holes that line up. I used the existing front holes in the front plus two more for a total of 4 on the front, secured with rivet nuts. The back holes weren't even close to lining up with the frame. I had to drill a couple of more and attach them with a couple more rivet nuts.It wasn't the easiest job, but it wasn't a nightmare either. If you're handy enough to do those things, it's a really sturdy solid step at a reasonable price. Getting in and out of my camper now is a breeze.

Nice. Heavy duty. Not easy to install on cargo trailer.

I used this for an enclosed cargo trailer side door. There wasn't a previously installed step for mounting braces had to be welded up and even then it had an odd fit. When pulled out for use, the step is slightly angled upward - making it look improperly mounted. After triple check the mounting we discovered that the odd slight upward angle compensated for the deflection of my 210 lbs bouncing on it and was actually very sturdy and supportive.

Replaced my motor home auto step assy. with this unit. It is more stable and gives me more clearance than my original step assembly. Also, do not need power or lube maintenance to operate, helps when boon docking and trying to conserve power.Did have to fabricate a mounting assembly to drop it below my outside wall for it to operate correctly. All in all, pleased with my choice.

I bought for my PM3500 based in reviews. Doesn’t line up with any holes and where I needed it hit the heat shield for the muffler. Es so hopeful but sadly being sent back the day it was delivered☹️ Also like others say there is no internal packing and the step was scratched and had paint drips from factory painting. Lots of saw dust on it so maybe it had been returned once. The anti skid strip was lifting as well. Seems sturdy but doesn’t seem like good quality control.

Quality steel product. Had to modify to get it to fit . A little high by it will be fine with the addition of a good grab bar.

This step was a great replacement for my 1998 STARCRAFT STARDUST popup trailer. The original owners had lost the step.The step was very close to the original dimensions, but was a few inches wider than the original. It was easy to mount. I was able to reuse the two original bolt holes closest to the wheel for the front and back. For the other side I had to drill a new 5/16" hole for the front mount. The rear mount was fixed by using a small piece of slotted angle.Very Happy
