Replaced my old one!
I am very surprised by this PTZ camera, which is about 1/3 the size of the one it replaced. Being much smaller than what I had, I didn't expect it to outshine the old one. It Did !!! The description claims it to have a 20X magnification, it turned out the magnification is 36X. The night vision is much sharper and clearer than what I had before, at more than half the cost. This is one is a clear WINNER! Easy to setup, upon initial startup, it automatically found the baud rate required, and installed itself as AHD, which is required for my DVR, another big plus! Very happy with it, it performs flawless, and the color rendition is spot-on. Happy with purchase! Update: March 30, Well I spoke too soon. This PTZ camera does do a very good job during the day, but at night it frequently freezes, stops displaying anything at all. Thinking that it might be the power supply being too small I purchased a 10 AMP supply, which is only 4 feet from the PTZ. No help at all, when it gets dark it shuts off completely. It seems that when it turns on the IR, it goes haywire. Daytime, it works great, very clear, but night time is when I need it most, and that is when it shuts down. Of course, I can't find who the supplier is, in order to get it replaced or to get help. Now, there is NO WAY I can recommend this PTZ camera to anyone! Update April 12, Doing some research I found the problem why it would not work at night. 1) The BNC connector of cable at the camera's end was faulty, the inner conductor was too small for the connector making sporadic contact. Replaced the connector. 2) Power cable could not supply enough power, replaced it with a heavier cable from power supply to camera, placing P/S within 4 feet of camera. 3) Also shortened the video cable (originally 100 ft) by removing app. 12 ft. It works perfect now, not a single hick-up when switching from Daylight to Night time. Night time the display is way better than the camera it replaced even though that one costs 3 times more. Very satisfied with this camera.

Best cameras if get set correctly
My first camera was perfect except they sent wrong instructions. It is my best camera. I ordered second one this year and was not working as the first one until I found a review that showed to change settings on camera itself and now it works perfectly without the extra line for the PTZ functions. Still needs to have power close and direct. Here is the review I found (Love the feature of where I no longer have 2 use rs485 wires when using ptz if using camera in AHD via coxial ptz mode bad part was just had 2 get it out of CVBS mode๐คฆ๐คฃ which manufacturer was happy 2 help with quick reply btw u have 2 use rs485 wires 2 get it out of CVBS... See more) If youโre having problems find the original review it has codes

Works as it should
Ok I had this for 3 months and finally installed it. I replaced a 12 year old Speco PTZ that was damaged. The picture quality is as good as it gets for a 720 connected to a 10 year old DVR, but it has good picture quality, good dynamic range, and great zoom that can capture license plate from 50 ft away. The purpose of this camera is to fixate on the front of vehicles to capture plate # and any other identifying marks at a fee both. The PTZ allows us to change positions as needed when we anticipate different vehicles.

EVERSECU 2MP PTZ Review
Benched the camera and was very impressed with the video quality. The excitement didn't last long as after a few minutes of operation I was no longer able to pan, tilt or zoom the camera. The video feed continued to work but the camera was unresponsive to all commands to move it. Infrared LEDs also subsequently stopped working. Was really hoping to get this working as it's one of the lowest priced 2MP PTZ cameras out there but tech support was not helpful and unit continues to be unresponsive. Thought about an exchange but after reading about all the problems I don't think it would be worth it to try a second unit. In the end I just decided it would be best to just return this to Amazon. Very sad.

Highly recommend the 2mp version!
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.. The 2mp version is fantastic. Super clear. Highly responsive. It does in fact have a 36x optical zoom, not 20. Switching it to the optimum video mode for your DVR is easy. Just read the instructions, is done via preset command numbers, sent one after another. It ships in the lowest resolution setting for compatibility with older systems. DO PLAN ON USING THE POWER ADAPTER IT COMES WITH. It's 4amps for the 2mp and 5amp for the 5mp. It does need all of that for the impressive IR lighting. A short 14 gauge extension is fine. Get yourself a corner bracket to get the best coverage it of this type of camera. I can look down the street both directions as far as I can see and view most of my yard and zoom to the creek behind my house. Pictures attached of min and max zoom. The Jeep in the picture is moving at about 40 mph. On a side note, I received an open box product. I tested before installing and it worked fine so I don't really have any issue with it, just saying.. Side note, the 5mp camera is NOT compatible with 5mp lite DVRs. Ask me how I know!

This camera was great
My wife has been wanting one of these PTZ cameras for awhile but I wasn`t sure if I could install one. I`m glad I made this purchase now. This camera is amazing for the price! The WEB site says it`s 20 power optical but after installing it says it`s 36 power and I believe it. The picture quality is fantastic and the auto focus works very good. For $139.00 I had to order another one with no hesitation . Every now and then I come across a deal and this time I think I did. I had to buy the 100 foot PTZ cable which is a must but did find out that at night that when the infrared LED comes on, the camera would act up. This is believed to be from the factory being only 4 amps at 12 volts so I ordered a 6 amp power supply and will test tomorrow. I still have hopes this will be resolved. Anybody thinking about trying the Cat 6 or 7 cable idea, forget it -it won`t work. I`ve tried all the way down to the 50 foot cable and it will not do what this camera is really capable of. My wife is really impressed with camera and that is good enough for me. The camera will do what it says it will do. My biggest disappointment came when I bought a LEFTEX mini controller for it and it did not work and it did not come with any instructions. I will eventually find the right controller and let you know which on works. After all was done I checked the camera resolution and found it to be 944 by 480 . What gives here because this is not what I ordered.

works great, problem is the camera requires more power than dual wire camera/pw cables can provide.
works great, but the problem is the camera requires more power than most dual wire camera/pw cables can provide. I read this early and plugged a power supply directly to the camera. I ran an extension cord to the p/s plugged to the camera. I didn"t use the power cord part of the siamese video/power cable. I have been running a continuous scan for over a year flawlessly. If you take this into account doing your wiring plan you are likely to have a great camera install. I constructed the sofit mount using a electrical box cover and a short piece of conduit.

Excellent quality & durability
Make sure if you buy the cable only camera that you receive the correct manual for it. I receive the manual for a wireless, POE, mobile app type. This manual didn't have how to access the camera by the OSD menu or the codes needed for input thru the controller keyboard. Needs clearer clarification on accessing the OSD & the use of the controller keyboard.

Nice camera but is it really 1080p?
My 1080p DVR says itโs a 960 camera, not 1080p but it works well. TIP: the ptz signal wires require a short connection to the dvr, or thick gauge wire (12ga?). That was even with the power adapter plugged on a nearby receptacle.
