You go through their story from her perspective and can really feel her struggles with the memories. This is such an underrated book and I really wish more people knew about it. There's a lot going on but they all intertwine and her reactions to everything are realistic but not predictable. All in all I give this book a very strong 5 stars, as a stand-alone and as a continuation in a series.
