Blunt Tip Perfect for Skinning/Gutting.
Don’t poke that gut sack! Great blade. Carbon steel will blacken over time when used for processing game or livestock. This helps prevent rust. Wish I could say morakniv makes these full-tang, but 3/4 tang should suffice. The blade is well seated into the rubber grip, everything feels incredibly sturdy/durable. Showed up quite sharp but a sharp blade (much like fitness/health… and chores) is a journey, not a destination. For that, I really appreciate the Sharpal tools. Happy it came with a sheath, the clip attribute on the sheath is also appreciated. The knife does not seem like it will just fall out… it takes a light pressure click/pull type feel to loosen it… sure maybe if it got knocked hard enough by a tree limb or something, maybe it could come out. I got this specifically for its blunted tip, for ease of meat processing. I keep it in my BOB. Lightweight and satisfies my needs/wants and standards.

Handy
Handy tip is a false edge that can be given a scandy grind to split, scrape, carve, groove whatever. Nice varient.

Stout blade for youngsters
I’m teaching my girls proper knife safety with this blade. High-quality and will last them a long time if they take care of it. Be sure to try it after uses because it’s carbon steel and will rust

Razor Sharp!
The quality of Morakniv knives is well known but never have I bought a knife that came out of the box as sharp as this one!

Good value for a kid’s bushcraft knife.
Morakniv makes some of the best value knives around, and this is no exception. I needed a blunt tip to help prevent kids poking themselves during our bushcraft programs and this easy to maintain Safe Pro knife work just great. As with all carbon steel knives, keeping this one dry is important to prevent rusting.

Gotta love Mora.
Bought for my son. Blunt tip is great for kids. I have several Mora knives. They are simply the best value for money on the market. Sharp, strong, comfortable and inexpensive. Just make sure you keep it clean and oiled. Carbon blade will rust, but with proper care, it will last a lifetime.

Great first knife for outdoorsy kids
My 7 year old son says, “Super good for whittling, it’s a very good first knife for kids.” 6 year old says, “it’s a super useful tool. It works really well. Very sharp blade.”

Challenging to use for fire starting.
I purchased this knife as a first bushcraft knife for a 10 year old. The knife is well made and fits great in smaller hands. The finger guard is a nice added safety feature for those who like such things, though I find it gets in the way when honing the edge. The lack of a point makes it potentially useful on water, though without serrations cutting cords may be a challenge. Its thinly ground edge takes an edge quickly, but it does not hold it long. It appears to be micro-serrated which I don't really like in a knife. The spine of the blade is smooth and not suitable for throwing sparks from a ferro rod. With considerable effort I was occasionally able to get one or two sparks. Conversely I did manage to get several sparks by using the edge of the knife--and had to spend a lot of time removing deep burrs from the edge afterward. For comparison I use my (Esse CR2.5, Sold on amazon for ~$80) and threw a shower of sparks with minimal effort. Design matters and this knife isn't designed to work with a ferro rod. The knife is a decent general use knife but not great for bushcraft. Use it for kitchen tasks or making small batons from small tree limbs--do not use for true baton making because it does not have a full tang and may break. Overall, if you work on the principle that the best knife to have is the one you've got, this knife will do.

I recently received the Morakniv Safe Pro Carbon Steel Fixed Blade Knife with Blunt Tip for my cub scout and it has been the perfect first knife for him. The knife is durable and well-made, with a sturdy blade that holds up well to heavy use. The blunt tip is a great safety feature for a cub scout, and I appreciate the peace of mind it provides knowing that my child won't accidentally hurt himself while using the knife. The handle is comfortable to hold and provides a good grip, making it easy for my child to control the knife. The compact size of the knife makes it easy to carry, and the included sheath provides great protection for the blade when not in use. Overall, I am extremely happy with the Morakniv Safe Pro Carbon Steel Fixed Blade Knife with Blunt Tip and would highly recommend it as a perfect first knife for a cub scout. 5 stars!

My almost-7-year-old took a "survival" camp this summer and the organization recommended this knife. It's excellent!! My son will choose carving over his PS4 so that's a win anyday in my book.
